Not every rash is an emergency. But some are.

Here's how to tell the difference:

🟢 Usually not urgent:
— Heat rash: small red bumps, appears after sweating
— Eczema: dry, itchy patches, often recurring
— Drool rash: around mouth and chin in babies
— Mild allergic reaction: localized hives, not spreading

🟡 See us soon if:
— Rash spreads quickly within hours
— Accompanied by fever
— Your child seems uncomfortable or itchy all over
— Appears after starting a new medication or food

🔴 Go to the ER if:
— Rash looks like small purple or red dots that don't fade when pressed
— Child has difficulty breathing alongside the rash
— Rash appears with high fever and stiff neck
— Rapid spreading with swelling of face or throat

When in doubt — we come to you and check it in person.
