👉🏼There are a few reasons your menstrual cup may be uncomfortable and depending on the cause of your discomfort, your plan of action may need to look different:

If pelvic floor muscle tension is the issue...
- Try deep belly breathing prior to insertion
- Daily child's pose or happy baby to relax your pelvic floor
- Foam roll your inner thighs and glutes
If pelvic floor muscle weakness is the issue...
- Practice pelvic floor coordination (ideally with the guidance of a PT)
- Once coordination is under control, add glute, hip and core strengthening into your routine
Your cup may be the wrong fit for you...
- Try a bigger or smaller size
- Try a different brand

👉🏼If this is new since pregnancy...
- Reach out to a pelvic floor PT if possible
Hormonal changes can lead to tissue sensitivity. If you think it's hormonal...
- Talk to your provider to determine if this is a factor for your symptoms
- Consider topical or internal estrogen and/or testosterone
