Spiritual Reflections 06.01.26

Good Morning Crossroad Family,

2 Samuel 12: 7 says , “And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I anointed thee King over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;”

Often, we make mistakes in life and when we do, we should thank God for placing people like Nathan in our lives, that aren’t afraid to tell us the truth even when it hurts. Know that through our mistakes God constantly gives us opportunities to repent and turn from our bad decisions.

When these moments happen, pray that God will give us the heart of David that quickly acknowledges our mistakes and desires only to honor and reconnect with the Lord; no matter the cost. David paid the cost with another person’s life, yet God in His infinite grace and mercy gave David a new son, Solomon. God’s love is so great and His mercy so everlasting that He gives birth to new things. New ideas, new dreams and new promises. Remember, there is no sin or mistake that can separate us from His love.

Keep your heart open and His love will continue to unfold and multiply in your life. Stop running on empty; surrender you life to His Spirit, and His strength will lead you .

Today, we had the privilege of sending Jamie Berrens off the Crossroad way—with smiles, applause, and grateful hearts.

As he begins his retirement, we want to thank Jamie for the leadership, dedication, and care he has given to Crossroad over the years. His impact on our organization and the people we serve will be felt for years to come.

Please join us in wishing Jamie all the best in this next chapter. Congratulations, Jamie!

Spiritual Reflections 05.25.26 (Happy Memorial Day)

Good Morning Crossroad Family,
2 Samuel 10:12 says, “Be brave and fight hard to protect our people and the cities of our God. I pray that the Lord will do whatever pleases Him.”
Sometimes we may feel like we’re in a fight that we did not choose, and we get tired of fighting on our own. Sometimes the problem may be loud, and the outcome uncertain, and our best ideas may appear to be insignificant. Even when things look hopeless, our trust in God will provide victory in the end.
David faced real enemies in his life, yet his victories were not about his skill or ability. God continually showed him that strength grows when we lean and depend on Him. Psalm 20:7 reminds us that “Some trust in chariots, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God,” and Proverbs 3:5-6 calls us to ‘trust Him with all our heart and let Him guide our paths.’
Like David, we all have battles. Today, name your battle then ask God for His guidance through it. Even though you may not feel brave, remember, His hand is steady and He will fight for you. As you follow His leading one step at a time, He will bring you peace where you expected only struggle. Always remember, in any battle, “…Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” 2 Chronicles 20:15.

Spiritual Reflections 05.18.26

Good Morning Crossroad Family,
In Mark's gospel Chapter 5:34, it reads, “And He said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace and be whole of thy plague.” These words from Jesus were spoken to a woman who had suffered in silence for years. Her conditioned isolated her, yet her faith pushed her through the crowd to touch the hem of His garment. Jesus just didn’t heal her physically—He reaffirmed her identity and restored her soul.

He calls her “Daughter,” giving her a sense of value and belonging. Understand today, that faith isn’t about perfect strength—it’s about reaching out to Jesus, believing that even the smallest touch of His presence brings healing. No pain is too deep, no distance too great that He cannot reach. He is compassionate, and near to the broken. We often hide our pain and feel unworthy of His attention. We doubt that He will respond to our small acts of faith, but in every case, “He accepts our offerings. He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.” Psalm 103:14.

May we all exhibit faith just like hers—press through fear, shame, and doubt and reach for Him. May He heal in each of us that still carry old wounds. May He speak to each of our anxious thoughts and remind us of our wholeness that only comes through Him.

Spiritual Reflections 05.11.26

Good Morning Crossroad Family,

The Book of Judges says, "And the children of Israel repented them for Benjamin their brother, and said, There is one tribe cut off from Israel this day.” (Judges 21:6)

There is a story that is revealed in Judges 19-21.

It's a story of a civil war breaking out and Israel almost annihilating the tribe of Benjamin. Certain devastating things were committed, and Israel took matters into their own hands. They almost wiped out the tribe of Benjamin. The nation did “what was right in their own eyes”, (Judges 21:25).

Sometimes we act without stopping to consult with God. Our right reasons can at times lead to wrong roads. We must remember that we cannot always fix things on our own. It can be exhausting and most frustrating. Sometimes God allows fights in our lives to serve as realignment of our focus and our devotion to Him.

Israel realizes that by removing the tribe of Benjamin, they would be removing a key part of Israel that God Himself had promised, and they repented to Him for their actions. Battles sometimes happen to make us realize He is our strength and shield. “For in Him we live, move and have our being.” (Acts 17:28) Repent for relying on anything other than His power.

Whenever you feel conflicted or tired from trying to fix things alone, know that God is open and understanding to you. Trust Him, not just for the big things, but trust Him even for the small things. Tell Him how you feel and believe He will work things out in your favor.

Spiritual Reflections 05.04.26

Good Morning Crossroad Family,

Matthew 17:1-2 , “And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, and was transfigured before them.”

Sometimes we feel the days ahead look dark, and we wish we could see what God sees. When change hits and someone you lean on may soon be gone, it leaves a tightness in your chest. Jesus knew His friends felt that fear. He spoke of the hard shocks to come, yet He said, “see that you are not alarmed (Matthew 24:6). Then, on the hill, He let them see a glimpse of His glory for a minute, “His face shone like the sun...” (Matthew 17:2), as if to say He is still King.

If you are troubled by what may come next, sit with Him for a while today. Ask Him to hold your heart, and to help you trust His path when you cannot see far. Ask Him to help you realize that He is near now, and He will not fail you. The same way that you were transfigured, I want to be transformed into the very likeness and image of You. Lord, I desire to be transformed from the inside out and allow me to bring others whom I encounter on the journey of a transformed life.

Here’s to a transformed life!
