EMS Week started today. Today we focus on Health, Wellness, and Resilience.
“These wounds are not signs of weakness; they reflect the profound commitment inherent in EMS work.”
Today marks the beginning of EMS Week, starting with Health, Wellness and Resilience Day.
In EMS, people often talk about resilience as if it means pushing through no matter what. But resilience does not mean EMS professionals are unaffected by what they experience.
In his recent EMS1 article, “A Diagnosis for the Broken Spirit,” PWW|AG EMS & Mobile Healthcare Consultant Dr. Shannon L. Gollnick explores the growing conversation around moral injury in EMS and the emotional weight many providers quietly carry throughout their careers.
At PWW|AG Advisory Group, this conversation is personal. Many members of our team have lived this profession themselves, and we understand that wellness in EMS is about far more than physical recovery.
This EMS Week, we recognize the importance of supporting the people behind the profession just as much as the profession itself.
