Friday was a great way to kick off the weekend!

We enjoyed a nice lunch at LongHorn Steakhouse with good food and even better company.

Afterward, we took it easy on the porch, enjoyed the beautiful weather, and cooled off with popsicles.

Happy National Banana Split Day!

Today we celebrated one of America’s sweetest classics with a good old-fashioned banana split! Did you know the banana split was first created in 1904 by a 23 year old pharmacy apprentice in Latrobe, Pennsylvania? The original treat sold for just 10 cents which was considered a splurge back then!

Our residents enjoyed building their own with bananas, ice cream, plenty of toppings, whipped cream, and of course, a cherry on top!

Because some holidays are just too sweet not to celebrate!

What a special Sunday!

Today we had the privilege of visiting Stanfield Baptist Church to hear our very own Ronnie Carden serve as their guest preacher. From the moment we arrived, the church welcomed us with open arms and made us feel right at home.

We are so proud to call Ronnie one of our own! There’s something pretty special about watching him continue to share his gifts, his faith, and his heart with others. Ronnie is a wonderful reminder that life doesn’t stop at any age you keep showing up, doing what you love, and making a difference.

Thank you, Stanfield Baptist Church, for welcoming our Avail family and making today so meaningful. And Ronnie, we sure are proud of you!

Good food, fresh air, and flowers make for a pretty great day!

We enjoyed a nice lunch at Sonic today, soaking up the beautiful weather and, most importantly, enjoying each other’s company.

Later, we took a ride out to The Farm at Walker Valley, where we spent the afternoon picking beautiful flowers! There’s just something special about getting outside, slowing down, and enjoying the simple things together.

A special thank you to Ginger Buchanan for helping make our visit so wonderful. We appreciate you!

YARD SALE ALERT!

It’s time to clean out those closets and come find some treasures! Our Avail Yard Sale is coming up, and we’re ready to make it a good one!

We are still accepting donated items, so if you have gently used household items, décor, clothing, or other treasures you’re ready to part with, we would love to have them!

The best part? All proceeds will go right back to our community, and our residents will decide together at Town Hall how the funds are used.

So spread the word, share our flyer, bring us your donations, and come SHOP! You never know what treasure you might find!

Busy days are the best days!

We started our day with a delicious lunch at First Baptist Cleveland. It’s always such a joy to get out, enjoy a great meal, and connect with our neighbors in the community.

Once we got back to Avail, we kept the fun going with music from the roaring ’50s! We had a packed house singing along, tapping their toes, and enjoying some of their favorite tunes.

And as if the day couldn’t get any sweeter, Luna stopped by for a visit! There’s just something about a furry friend that brings an instant smile.

Sometimes the best adventures are the ones you don’t plan!

Our Memory Care residents enjoyed an impromptu trip to the Ocoee, taking in the beautiful scenery and fresh mountain air. Of course, no spontaneous outing is complete without a stop at Sonic for a tasty treat!

DEKE Day was a success!

We had such a fun afternoon with the Lee University students! Our ladies enjoyed a little pampering with freshly painted nails, while others jumped right into games, puzzles, and plenty of laughter.

And we couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap up the day than gathering together for some beautiful hymns. We’re so thankful for the students who spent their time connecting with our residents and making the afternoon so special!

There’s nothing sweeter than building connections in our community!

We’ve been out and about sharing a little Avail love! A few of our residents joined us as we delivered sweet treats made right in our own kitchen to Walker Valley High School, Bradley Central High School, and Charleston Elementary School.

For us, marketing is about more than getting our name out there it’s about building relationships, making connections, and finding new ways for our residents to stay involved in the community we call home.

We’re looking forward to growing these relationships and welcoming future collaborations and volunteers to Avail. We can’t wait to see where these connections lead!
