Maple Woods Manor is a 151 bed skilled nursing facility located in Clio, Michigan in Northern Genesee County. Maple Woods proudly offers complete extended care nursing and rehabilitation services to the community of Clio as well as Flint, Frankenmuth, Saginaw and other surrounding areas. Maple Woods specializes in joint replacement services as well as short-term rehabilitation services, allowing r

esidents a clear pathway to return home. Our full-time therapy staff offers physical, occupational and speech therapies.

This month, we are celebrating Soul Food Month with a special weekly series called Cooking with Soul! ❤️

This week, LaTonya shared the history and traditions behind Sweet Potato Pie while walking residents through the ingredients and preparation process. Residents enjoyed learning about the cultural significance of this classic comfort food — and of course, everyone loved tasting the finished pie!

The experience sparked wonderful reminiscing, storytelling, and conversations about family traditions, favorite recipes, and memories from years past. We look forward to continuing our Cooking with Soul series throughout the month! 🍠🥧

Even chilly weather couldn’t stop the fun during National Skilled Nursing Care Week!

On Wednesday, our residents bundled up and headed outside to visit the animals during our special petting zoo event. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and sweet moments shared with some furry friends!

The annual NSNCW observance recognizes the important role of skilled nursing care centers in caring for our elders and individuals with disabilities. Each person in the long term and post-acute care community contributes to improving the quality of life of all residents by providing a home away from home that allows them to have the essential connections they need to thrive.
