“Natural” is a marketing strategy. It is used to imply that a product is somehow superior or safer, because it’s from nature — but nature creates some of the most toxic substances known. And our bodies don’t know the source. Many drugs with natural origins are now synthetically made in labs. Our bodies can’t tell the difference, because the chemical structure is the same.

Big Wellness will tell you supplements are safer than prescription drugs. Please remember they’re selling them for profit. Supplements are largely unregulated, and they have side effects & drug interactions just like prescription medications.

Before starting a supplement - always consult with your doctor.

Ask:
—Is there evidence this works in humans?
—Is it safe for me?
—Could it interact with my medications?

Save this for the next time someone tells you supplements are safer because they’re natural. Share it with someone who needs to hear it. 🌿

Your kid melts down every afternoon. Or you personally crash hard around 4pm. Sound familiar?

This may be stimulant rebound that can happen with ADHD medication.

Rebound happens when stimulant levels drop quickly, causing dopamine and norepinephrine to fall faster than the brain can readjust. The result? Symptoms that temporarily overshoot your baseline.

Here’s what makes it tricky: it can look identical to restraint collapse — especially in kids. Timing and patterns are your best clues.

The good news: there are real options.

Dose adjustments, switching formulations, adding a small booster dose, or trying a medication with a smoother PK curve can all make a significant difference.

Always work with your prescriber before changing anything. Knowing your options means you can have a more informed conversation.

Postpartum depression is one of the most common complications of childbirth — and one of the most undertreated. SSRIs can be an effective treatment option, but they also take 4-6 weeks see full benefit. Zurzuvae is the only FDA approved medication for PPD — it’s a 14 day treatment course, and it can work in as little as a few days.

Reach out to your doctor if you’re struggling postpartum, treatment exists. You’re not alone.

Last summer I got Lyme disease - early disseminated, with Lyme meningitis. I was sick - but I was diagnosed, treated, and fully recovered.

On social media, you’d think that outcome barely exists.
The “chronic Lyme” narrative has real consequences: people delaying real treatment, spending thousands on unproven therapies, some of which are genuinely dangerous.
Lyme is a bacterial infection with a clear treatment.
PTLDS is real - but it’s not an ongoing infection, and more antibiotics don’t fix it. You deserve accurate information, especially when you’re scared.

Last summer I got Lyme disease — early disseminated, with Lyme meningitis. I felt terrible — but thankfully I was diagnosed, received treatment, and fully recovered.

On social media, you’d think that outcome wasn’t a possibility.
The “chronic Lyme” narrative has real consequences: people delaying real treatment, spending thousands on unproven therapies, some of which are genuinely dangerous.

1 in 3 pharmacies closed between 2010 and 2021. And the communities left behind aren’t random — they’re the ones that were already struggling.

Pharmacy deserts are a public health crisis hiding in plain sight. PBMs are setting reimbursement rates so low that independent pharmacies can’t survive. When they close, the most vulnerable patients pay the price.
