MMR vaccination protects against measles, mumps, and rubella. 2 doses are 97% effective against measles. No, it doesn’t cause autism. If you have specific concerns, talk to your doctor - don’t listen to Susie over on TikTok.
đź’‰ Routine schedule: 2 doses
• 1st dose: 12–15 months
• 2nd dose: 4–6 years
But you don’t have to wait until age 4 for the second dose. If needed, the second dose can be given as early as 28 days after the first dose (like during an outbreak or before travel).
And infants 6–11 months may need an early MMR dose during outbreaks or for travel. An early infant dose does not count toward the routine 2-dose series.
If your child is behind (or you’re wondering whether they should be vaccinated early), talk with their doctor. ❤️
