Mary Denise “Sue” Lillich, 72, of Lake, died Thursday June 4, 2026 at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor.

She was born November 15, 1953 in Decatur, Indiana the daughter of the late Lester & Betty (Johnson) Lillich. Sue had been employed as Chief Financial Officer with the Isabella Community Credit Union. She was a member of the Coleman Wesleyan Church and the Kiwanis. She loved to play tennis, be outdoors, bicycling, hiking and kayaking. Sue loved her Lord Jesus Christ and studying her Bible.

Sue is survived by her brothers Victor Lillich, Lester Lillich, favorite cousins Margo Knight, Debbie Middleton, Jodi and Eva Johnson, Sue Isch, and Mike Lillich, and her church family and many friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday June 10, 2026 at the Coleman Wesleyan Church with Rev. Scott Hayes officiating. Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman. Friends and family visiting will be at the Coleman Wesleyan Church on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and Wednesday starting at 10 am until the time of services. Memorials are suggested to the Coleman Wesleyan Church.

Dianne L. Thrush, 62, of Farwell died Friday May 29, 2026 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw. She was born July 23, 1963 in Coleman the daughter of the late Larry & Greer (Cloud) Thomson.

Dianne married Douglas D. Thrush July 3, 1993 in Farwell. He preceded her in death December 6, 2014.

She had been employed at Medilodge in Clare until her retirement.

Survivors include her sons Jim Thrush & Tiffany Lazarowicz of Indiana, Josh & Angel Thrush of Farwell, 8 grandchildren and several cousins.

Funeral services were held Tuesday June 2, 2026 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. with burial in the Warren Township Cemetery.

William Allen Schultz, 74 of Coleman, Michigan passed away May 11th, 2026, at Woodland Hospice House in Mt Pleasant. He was born on August 21st, 1951, in Royal Oak, Michigan to William & Rose Schultz of Madison Heights.

William “Bill” leaves behind his long-time companion Jan McLaughlin, daughter Stacey (Jayson) Diesenroth and grandson Shawn Breuhan. He also leaves behind his sister Mary (Dave) Walker and nephews & nieces. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, sister Kay (Kise), and son, William “Billy” Schultz.

Bill was a dedicated long-haul truck driver for over 30 years. He was able to combine work with adventure in seeing all the states with his routes. He often talked about the beautiful landscapes he experienced while on the road. Bill had many talents as well. He loved working on cars and was very creative at anything he built. He was also very skilled in welding and crafted a variety of anything & everything over the years.

Bill resided in Meredith (Gladwin) for many years. He was always that one neighbor who would know how to fix it or lend you a tool if you needed it! Bill loved being outdoors and enjoyed riding his dune buggy back in the day. If his garage door was open, that was basically an invitation to stop by and visit!
The U.P. was one of Bill’s favorite places to visit with Jan. He admired the scenery during any season! One place that needs to be mentioned of which Bill and his son talked about all the time…Winslow, Arizona. Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Irene L. Monroe, 86, of Remus, died at home Thursday May 7, 2026, with her family by her side. She was born April 15, 1940 in Remus the daughter of the late Joseph & Opal (Decker) Ockert.

Irene L. Ockert married Jimmie L. Monroe April 15, 1978 in Weidman. She had been employed as a telephone operator and nurse aide. Irene enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting and time spent with her family.

Survivors include her husband Jimmie, children: Tracy & Paula Esch, Kelly & Willie Shinabarger, Vicky & David Chester, Tom & Alice Monroe, Mike Monroe, Kim Myer & Don Velmer, Jane Skinner & James Edwards, Becky & Pete Carlson, Susan Monroe & Hank Sprague, 37 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her grandchildren: Toni Esch, Brandon Skinner, Eli Monroe, brothers: Bob, Paul and Russ Ockert.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday May 11, 2026 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Ray Freeze officiating, with a luncheon to follow at David Monroe’s home, 11935 East Denver Road, Coleman, MI 48618. Burial will take place in the Riverlawn Cemetery, Isabella County. Friends may call at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 2-6pm and on Monday starting at 10 am until the time of services. Memorials are suggested to Corewell Health Hospice.

Amber Michelle Moore, 31, of Coleman, died Monday May 4, 2026 in Saginaw County as the result of a motorcycle accident. She was born May 15, 1994 in Flint.

Amber found value in her education and was studying to earn her nursing degree. She enjoyed going to the park and camping, always with a camera in her hand, documenting her love of fashion and style. Amber took pleasure in time spent with her family and children. While growing up on the farm, she developed a passion for horses and riding which transferred into her need for speed on her Bike. Today she will fly.

She is survived by her children: Carter Smith, Briar Townsend and Quinn Moore, parents Henry & Tammy (Ballard) Moore, siblings: Elizabeth Moore, Chuck Moore, Carlos Moore, Matthew Moore, Alison Moore, Ashlee Moore, Jon Moore, Carolyn Holton, Chad Holton, biological parents, Regina Downing, Merle Scott, siblings: Heather, Waylon, Autumn, Travisallan, Alexis, Jessica, Ryan, Emily, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 am Friday May 8, 2026 at the Church of Daniel’s Band, 4835 Bard Road, Beaverton, MI 48612, with Rev. Randy Govitz officiating. Georgia Ellen Cozat, 93, of Coleman died Thursday April 30, 2026 at Medilodge of Clare, with her family by her side. She was born the daughter of the late Albert & Edna (Yarger) Todd.

She was a 76 year polio survivor. Once told that she would never walk again, as a testament to her strong will, she surpassed walking and went on to live a very fulfilled life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of seventy years, Bill.

Georgia worked as an office manager for Dr. Austin and sons dental practice in Clare for twenty-six years.

A lifelong resident of Coleman, Georgia spent the last four years residing at Coleman’s Senior Estates. Her sense of humor, her friendly manner and love of card playing made a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Georgia enjoyed many hobbies. She was an avid crafter, a wonderful home cook, a seasoned card player and a frequent visitor of Soaring Eagle Casino.

Georgia embodied every bit of the phrase, “the more the merrier”, and she meant it. She had an uncanny ability to put together a meal for 5-50 people on a moment’s notice, without ever going to the store.

Georgia was the heart of her family and she lived her life devoted to them. She seldom missed an opportunity to show her unwavering support in any way she could. She seldom missed a school event, sporting event, 4H show day or dance recital. She attended every wedding, shower, funeral of all her family and friends that she could.

She will be forever missed, but her legacy of strong family devotion will carry on through generations.

Survivors include her beloved son Bill (Melissa) Cozat of Coleman, her beloved daughter Yvonne (Tom) Wandzel of Swartz Creek, four cherished grandchildren and their families: Steve (Heather) Cozat, Logan (Madison) Wright, Charles and Morrigan, Cooper, Katelyn and Brooklyn, Jeff (Catherine) Wandzel, Adam, Scott (Cathy) Wandzell, Rachel and Zane, Mark Wandzel, Kari (Greg) Nab and Kinsleigh, Sara (Randy) Garing, Gage, Hudson, Harper, Philip (Tracy) Borka, Brady and Cole, Eric (Angie) Cozat, Kaitlin (Dan) Harras, Charlotte and Maggie, Kylie (Rob) Spagnuolo, Keegan and Will, brother Jerry (Evelyn) Todd of Coleman, Mildred Snow of Sanford, sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Long, Wilma Sysak, Vera (Larry) Marshall, Shirley Cozat and Barb Kohlhoff, many nieces and nephews. Georgia was also preceded in death by her brothers: Gary, Thomas and Larry Todd, sisters: Joyce Lincoln, Leona Boyce, Elsie Bacon and Irene Knapp.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday May 4, 2026 at the Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Lisa Kelley officiating. Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman. Robert K. Bass 83 of Frostproof, FL died at his home Feb. 3 2026. He was born in St. Louis, MI Nov. 11,1942.

He lived in Coleman while growing up and after graduation enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything. He retired after the sale of their "Highbridge Cabins" in Wellston, MI. He and his wife Joy traveled the country for a few years and then moved to Frostproof, FL.

He is survived by his wife Joy, children Pam (Dave) Wells, Ruth (Dean) Methner, Frank (Alice Johnson) Bass and Chris Bass. 15 grandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren, sister Caroline Hutton, brothers and sister-in-laws Robert and Lonna Marrs and Chuck and Paula Marrs. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary Evelyn Tower, brother and sister-in-law Gary and Doris Bass, sister-in-law Kay Cancilla and his Grandchildren Mary Evelyn and Christopher Lee Bass.

John A. Smallwood, 58, of Dorr, joined his Lord and Savior peacefully at home on April 24, 2026, surrounded by his family, after a short but aggressive battle with cancer. He was born October 25, 1967, in Midland, the son of the late John and Evelyn “Joyce” (Alley) Smallwood.

John lived more life than most could in a single lifetime. After graduating from Coleman High School in 1985, he quickly pursued his passion for photography, eventually building and owning his own business, SmallwoodPhoto.

He was a devoted father and a proud grandfather. John was an avid traveler, exploring over 64 countries—sometimes for his work as a commercial photographer, and often simply for the joy of experiencing the world with loved ones. He also had a love for cycling, completing one of his favorite rides from London to Paris—100 miles over four days.

John shared his love of music with many, whether through his incredible taste or by playing guitar and putting his own unique twist on the songs he loved.

At the end of the day, he found the most happiness in life’s simple pleasures: hunting, playing guitar, a cold drink, fresh pizza, a good story, and time spent with loved ones (and any dog nearby for a few pets).

Of all the roles he held in life, his favorite was being “Papa John” to his grandson—a title he cherished deeply.

Survivors include his children: Simon and Marissa Smallwood of Mt. Pleasant; Samantha and Brad Crowl of Coleman; and Cole Smallwood of Oklahoma; his grandson, Kenneth Crowl; and his brother, James Smallwood of Beaverton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as lifelong best friends, Dean Retzloff and Ray Rydman.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sisters: Denise Quinn, Sonja Sturgeon, and Shawn VanNest.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Eunice Marie Methner, 92 of Coleman, died Monday April 20, 2026 at Medilodge of Clare. She was born in Clare July 31, 1933 the daughter of the late Perry & Marie (Garchow) Geeck.

Eunice retired from the Dow Chemical Company in 1994 after 36 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and was a fantastic quilter. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family. She had a lifelong strength in her faith.

Survivors include her children: Sheldon “Dean” & Ruth Methner of Wellston, Cynthia & Gary Burke of Coleman, Sylvia & Bob C**n of Coleman, Patti & Dave Schafer of Beal City, 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, sisters-in-law Mary Geeck of Coleman, Carmen Geeck in the Philippines, many nieces and nephews. Eunice was also preceded in death by her son Steven Lee Methner, brothers William, Ronald, Perry “Richard” and Edward Geeck.

Funeral services will be private with burial in Memorial Gardens of Mt. Pleasant. Memorials are suggested to Heartland Hospice.

Stephen Wayne Randall, 74, a beloved and devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

Steve was born on November 27, 1951, in Midland, Michigan, to the late Lloyd Wayne Randall and Rosemary (French) Randall.

He was a graduate of Midland High School in 1969. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, enlisting in 1972 and achieving the rank of Corporal. During his service, he earned multiple badges and medals, reflecting his dedication, discipline, and commitment. Steve retired from Dow Corning Corporation for many years as a Journeyman Electrician.

On April 30, 1976, he married the love of his life, Rebecca Marie Nelson. Together, they built a life rooted in love, family, and unwavering support. Steve took great pride in building the family home where they have lived since 1982—a place filled with decades of memories. Rebecca survives him, along with their two daughters, whom he cherished deeply: Amy Linnae (Nate) Krzysiak of Troy, Ohio, and Lorie Kaye Randall of Muskegon, Michigan. He is also survived by his siblings: Karen (Doug) Mills of Midland; Susan (Tom) Pretzer of Hemlock; and Michael Randall of South Carolina. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews, as well as three step-grandchildren who will remember him fondly.

Steve was preceded in death by his sisters, Annie Potts and Barbara Poulos; his brother-in-law, Daniel Poulos; and his beloved grandparents, Steve and Mariann French—especially his grandfather, whom he regarded as his hero.

A proud member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, Steve carried a deep appreciation for his heritage throughout his life. He loved his family with his whole heart and was never happier than when surrounded by those he loved.

Steve had a passion for life and a wide range of interests. He was an avid fast-pitch softball player and enjoyed basketball. One of his greatest joys was coaching his daughters in softball for many years. In the late 1980s, he fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a licensed pilot. He also found joy in riding motorcycles, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

Above all, Steve will be remembered for his love, strength, and quick-witted humor, as well as the deep and lasting bond he shared with his family. His wife and daughters adored him and will carry his memory in their hearts always.

Cremation has taken place with O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc., in Coleman, Michigan. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
