Train movement specific. Not sport specific.
A lot of programs build training with a “sport specific” mindset — volleyball drills, soccer conditioning, sport-specific workouts. And although intentions might be good, that’s backwards.
What actually carries over is the basics. Strength, power, speed, movement quality…
How well you decelerate. How you absorb force. How you produce power from the ground up. Hip control. Ankle stability. Single-leg strength.
Those are the things show up in every sport. Every position. Every athlete.
At ELP we don’t train for a specific sport. We train athleticism first and sport second.
We train the foundation that makes you better at whatever sport you play.
That’s the difference between a workout and actual coaching.
