Not sure if your injury can wait for an appointment?

That’s exactly what the Orthopaedic Urgent Care Hub, or OUCH, is for.

Dr. Hamann explains when it makes sense to walk into OUCH for fast, specialized orthopaedic care, whether you’re dealing with a sudden injury, possible fracture, sprain, strain, or another issue that needs attention sooner rather than later.

Skip the uncertainty and get a clear plan for moving forward.

After check-in, imaging, diagnosis, treatment, a knee brace, and recovery, Wristopher is officially cleared to go. 💀

Dr. Joshua C. Hamann has been there through the journey, and now Wristopher is back on his feet and ready for what’s next.

Every injury and recovery looks a little different, but the goal is the same: give patients a clear path forward and help them safely get back to the things they love.

And for Wristopher, there’s one thing he’s been working especially hard to get back to...

🎃 Trunk or Treat.

Join us October 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and see if Wristopher makes it to Trunk or Treat: https://www.facebook.com/share/1Ex5Xw6KAx/

💀 Wristopher is officially on the move again!

With his knee brace in place and crutches helping him get around safely, he’s moving into the next phase of his care.

First, a quick stop at the Columbia Orthopaedic Group on-site pharmacy to pick up what he needs for recovery. Then it’s time to get to work in physical therapy, rebuilding strength, movement, and confidence after his injury.

But Wristopher has one big goal in mind. 🎃

He wants to be back on both feet in time for the Columbia Orthopaedic Group Trunk or Treat on October 31!

He's putting in the work, but will the docs give him the all-clear?

Stay tuned! 💀

Back and neck pain can make everyday movement, work, exercise, and sleep more difficult. Dr. Tyler J. Jenkins helps patients understand the cause of their symptoms and build a treatment plan based on their specific condition, goals, and lifestyle.

As a fellowship-trained, board-certified spine surgeon, Dr. Jenkins specializes in the comprehensive treatment of spinal disorders, with particular expertise in minimally invasive spine surgery, motion-sparing procedures, scoliosis, and revision surgery. He also emphasizes nonsurgical care whenever appropriate.

Dr. Jenkins believes the best spine care combines evidence-based medicine with listening closely to each patient. Many spinal conditions can be managed without surgery through options such as injections, medications, exercise, and other conservative treatments. When surgery is necessary, his focus is on choosing the right procedure for the individual patient.

We’re hiring an Athletic Trainer to join our Orthopaedic Urgent Care Hub (OUCH) team in Columbia.

• Provide immediate care and first aid
• Assist with casting, splinting, bracing and durable medical equipment
• Educate patients on home exercises and injury prevention
• Help patients safely get back to work, sports and everyday life

We’re looking for someone who is BOC-certified, eligible for Missouri licensure, patient-focused and ready to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented orthopaedic environment.

The diagnosis is in. Now it’s time to start treatment.

For Wristopher, that means getting fitted for a knee brace to help protect the injured knee while it heals.

This is where the care journey shifts from figuring out what’s wrong to putting the right plan in place and helping the patient safely move forward.

The brace is on. The recovery plan has started.
CHECK-IN ✓ → DIAGNOSIS ✓ → TREATMENT → RECOVERY

🎃 Follow Wristopher through the rest of his recovery as we count down to the Columbia Orthopaedic Group Trunk or Treat on October 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The diagnosis is in. 💀

This week, Chase Arnold, PA-C with the OUCH Clinic, walks us through what Wristopher's evaluation and imaging revealed and what comes next.

And yes, the final vote is official. Meet Wristopher, our little athlete! Thank you to everyone who voted online and in the lobby.

For injuries that shouldn’t wait, Columbia Orthopaedic Group’s Orthopaedic Urgent Care Hub provides walk-in access and helps patients move quickly into evaluation, imaging, and a treatment plan.

Now that we know what we’re dealing with, it’s time for the next chapter:
Treatment.

Follow Wristopher's road to recovery as we count down to the Columbia Orthopaedic Group Trunk or Treat on October 31, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Community is more than where we work. It’s where we live, raise our families, and support one another.

That’s why Columbia Orthopaedic Group launched Community Connections, a quarterly effort that gives our team an intentional way to support organizations making a difference across Mid-Missouri.

For this Community Connection, our employees collected much-needed supplies for the Central Missouri Humane Society, including dog and cat food, treats, paper towels, enrichment items, and more.

Dr. Bus Tarbox joined our team to deliver those donations and visit with Michelle Casey from the Central Missouri Humane Society about the work they’re doing, the challenges they face, and the many ways our community can help.

A big thank you to our employees who donated and to the Central Missouri Humane Society team for everything they do for animals throughout our community.

We look forward to continuing to find meaningful ways to support the community that has supported Columbia Orthopaedic Group for more than 60 years.
