**Let them work.**

🦮 Don’t pet them.
🦮 Don’t call their name.
🦮 Don’t offer food.
🦮 Don’t intentionally distract them.

The dog may look friendly—and they probably are—but their job is to help their handler navigate safely and independently.

Some vision changes are common as we get older.

September is Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) Awareness Month.

CVI is a neurological visual condition in which the brain has difficulty processing and interpreting visual information.

That means a child may have difficulty using vision even when the eyes themselves don’t fully explain what we’re seeing.

Recognizing the difference matters.

A thoughtful eye and vision evaluation can be an important part of understanding how a child’s visual system is functioning and what additional support may be helpful.
