Hello GorgHERous! I have been blessed to buy new homes all of my life. I was 29 when I purchased my first brand new home built as a part of a builder's showcase. I met the builder while looking in another neighborhood. It was two-story home with a huge master suite--one of my pre-requisites!
I was a single woman, 29 years old, working in leadhership in Corporate America in Chicago. God taught me how to negotiate the home price by reading Proverbs. The seller asked me where I got my offer price from!
I went into my profit sharing and pulled down the down payment. My credit score was stellar-I paid my bills on time! The builder could not sell the house--the contracts kept falling through because the buyers could not get approved. I believed that God just held it up for me. (Tithes and offerings.)
Then I got married. I purchased my second new home at the age of 35. It was a beauty - four stories/levels, 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, huge master bedroom with California closets, tons of closet space, hardwood floors, enough storage to build another wing, a whirlpool bath tub, California Closets, 3 car garage, twenty food ceilings in the lovely and growing area, just 10 minutes from work. We are still buying homes!
