“Am I too old for LASIK?” is a common question we hear 👁️

LASIK isn’t really about age. It’s about the health of your eyes and whether you’re a safe candidate (we typically want you to be 18+ with a stable prescription).

And there’s no true “upper age limit” either. Sometimes, the best option is a different procedure. At ReVision, it’s never cookie-cutter. If LASIK is the safest, most durable way to give you your best vision, we’ll recommend it. If another solution is a better match (ICL, refractive lens exchange, or even early cataract surgery), we’ll walk you through that too.

Did you know a LASIK procedure is over in less than 10 minutes?

Most patients are surprised by how quick AND comfortable the procedure can be. Your eye is numbed, the procedure is typically completed in under 10 minutes, and many patients notice clearer vision almost immediately after sitting up.

For some, that means seeing faces across the room or reading the clock on the wall right after surgery. Mild discomfort can happen for a few hours the day of the procedure, but many patients wake up the next morning feeling like they’re already wearing glasses or contacts because their vision is that clear.
