The American Red Cross has declared an emergency blood shortage. Donors of all blood types — especially those with types O+ & B- blood — are needed to help reverse a dangerous drop in the Red Cross blood supply.

If you are eligible to donate, please consider making an appointment through RedCrossBlood.org, the Blood Donor App, or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS.

The Division of EMS, in partnership with Ohio Professionals Health Program - Ohio PHP, has launched a Safe Haven Program to support EMTs and firefighters experiencing burnout, mental health challenges, or substance use disorders. The program offers confidential support and a therapeutic alternative to traditional regulatory action for Ohio certificate holders and applicants.
