We turned back the clock to the fabulous ’50s at Carlton Senior Living Pleasant Hill - Martinez! 🎶🚘

Everyone enjoyed a celebration inspired by the days of rock ’n’ roll, sock hops, and colorful classic cars, with staff dressing the part to add to the fun.

Meaningful moments often begin with someone who takes the time to understand what matters most to each resident.

At Carlton Senior Living Elk Grove, Julia Johnson brings that thoughtful approach to activities for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. Her creativity, compassion and leadership recently earned her the California Assisted Living Association's Spring 2026 Outstanding Department Director Award.

When one resident could no longer visit the dining room, Julia brought the restaurant experience to her apartment, partnering with the chef to prepare a special breakfast right at her bedside, complete with flowers and décor. It is one example of how Julia creates connection, purpose and joy through meaningful, personalized experiences.
