Today’s Support Local Thursday lunch spot was selected by Rose — Lunch at 1350

Our staff enjoyed some delicious sandwiches, fresh salads, and even an off-menu “Around the World” trio that was a huge hit. Great food, kind people, and excellent service make this a local favorite.

Today, on Mother’s Day, we celebrate the love, strength, kindness, and sacrifice of mothers everywhere. We honor the women who have shaped our lives with their unconditional love, guidance, and unwavering support.

At the same time, we recognize that this day can be incredibly difficult for many. Our hearts are with those who are spending today missing their mothers, cherishing memories, and navigating grief that never truly leaves. We also hold close the mothers who have experienced the unimaginable loss of a child.

To anyone carrying grief today, please know you are not alone. Love does not end with loss, and the bonds we share with those we love remain forever in our hearts.

Wishing comfort, peace, and love to all this Mother’s Day. 💐

Week 9 of supporting local businesses brought us to Urban Plates, and it was a great pick by Ryan! The food was amazing — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Even during a busy rush, the staff stayed on top of everything and you could see the attention to quality control. Definitely a spot worth checking out!

Some people wonder what happens when someone passes away without family to carry out their final wishes. It’s a question that deserves a compassionate answer.
We are honored to work alongside the Public Administrator and the Catholic Diocese through their Wings of Angels program. Several times each year, a heartfelt ceremony is held to ensure these individuals are laid to rest with dignity and care.
During the ceremony, a priest offers blessings and prayers before each urn is respectfully placed within a beautiful crypt. It is a simple, yet deeply meaningful way to honor lives that might otherwise be forgotten.
Every life matters, and every person deserves to be remembered. 🤍

We had a great time at the Laugh, Love & Learn: Age Well Senior Expo in Pleasant Hill! Bari and Edgar proudly represented Diablo Valley Cremation & Funeral Services, connecting with so many wonderful people and answering thoughtful questions from our community. It was very well attended, and we truly enjoyed meeting everyone who stopped by.

This event featured over 50 community vendors offering valuable resources for seniors and families, along with several educational speakers sharing helpful insights.

Thank you to everyone who made this event such a success—we look forward to seeing you again soon!
