Montgomery County Memorial Hospital + Clinics is thrilled to welcome Pam Hetzel, ARNP, to our Specialty Outpatient Services team in Red Oak! 👩‍⚕️💙 Pam brings more than 25 years of nursing experience, with a strong background in intensive care and a heartfelt passion for patient‑centered nephrology care.
Originally born near Florida’s Space Center 🚀, Pam has deep Iowa roots and has proudly called the Tabor area home since age 12. She and her husband, high school sweethearts, have been married for over 40 years and raised three children who all graduated from Iowa State University. Today, Pam is a proud Gramma to seven wonderful grandchildren who fill her life with joy. 👵❤️👧🧒
Pam’s journey into nursing is nothing short of inspiring. After beginning her nursing education later in life, she earned her:
✅ ADN/RN at 35
✅ Bachelor’s degree at 52
✅ Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at 58 🎓✨
Her dedication to lifelong learning reflects her commitment to the patients she serves. Drawn to nephrology for the meaningful relationships built with chronically ill patients, Pam believes in empowering individuals through education and providing compassionate care, always treating each patient like family. 💛🩺

Meet & Greet Monday: PROVIDER SPOTLIGHT - Olivia Martin, PA

We are pleased to welcome Olivia Martin, PA, to the SMC family. Olivia will be providing this added coverage as part of Dr. Pepin’s nephrology team.

Olivia joined the practice in 2025 after earning her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Mary Baldwin University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from the College of William & Mary and brings valuable experience from both Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine.

Originally from King George, Virginia, Olivia is passionate about patient education and enjoys helping individuals navigate their healthcare needs. Outside of work, she loves spending time outdoors hiking and biking, and at home with her two cats.
