Atria’s Ronnie Boatman Scholarship is awarded annually to children of Atria employees who are committed to lifelong learning and community service. We at Atria Cranford are proud to announce that one of the eight recipients of this year’s award is our very own Keira Peters, daughter of our LPN Victor Peters. Keira is a rising Junior at George Washington University studying International Affairs. We’re thrilled for the Peters family and wish Keira continued success in pursuing her dreams.

Meet our resident Sheila. She had a lifelong career as a violinist, performing with symphony orchestras and Broadway pit orchestras, recording studios and has shared the stage with the likes of Count Basie and Tony Bennett. Since moving to Atria Cranford, Sheila has gotten involved with the New Jersey Workshop for the Arts String Ensemble. Today she graced our “stage” playing with the group in a spring concert for our Atria friends and family. What a great day!

We had the pleasure of hosting filmmaker Andrew Lilley who treated us to a screening of his documentary "I'll Knock a Homer for You: The Timeless Story of Johnny Sylvester and Babe Ruth". The film recounts the true story of Babe Ruth hitting 3 home runs for a dying young boy in 1926. After the film we discussed The Babe, his life and all of the players who have made an impact through the years.
