Movement Monday 🌿

I have limited mobility due to recently having two total knee replacements. And I'm a wellness coach who teaches women how to move their bodies.

I used to think that was a contradiction. Now I know it's my greatest qualification.

Because I know — from the inside — what it's like to have a body that won't do what it used to. And I also know that the answer is not to push harder. It's to start exactly where you are, with exactly what you have, and let that be enough.

This week we're talking about movement — the kind that honors your postmenopausal body instead of fighting it.

👇 What's your favorite way to move your body right now?

No judgment — all answers welcome. 🌿

Do you use affirmations?

“I am strong. I am enough. I am still becoming.”

Write that down. Say it out loud. Say it again.
I believe affirmations work best when they are rooted in something bigger than willpower - and for me, that’s always been faith. Because on the days I don’t feel strong? Isaiah 40:31 reminds me that my strength isn’t sourced from me anyway.

“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.”

That’s not a self-help slogan.
That’s a promise.

Add your own affirmation in the comments. What are you declaring over yourself this week?

Welcome to Whole Wellness Freedom.

If you're new here - I'm so glad you found this page.

I'm Heather Hill, a faith-based wellness coach for postmenopausal women, and this is the place I created for every woman who has ever wondered if she stepped too far back to find her way forward again.

My very first Beyond the Pause blog post is live - and it tells you everything about who I am, why I stepped away, and why I came back more equipped than ever to walk this season with you.

Welcome to Whole Wellness Freedom. I'm Heather Hill and I created this page for one woman in particular: the postmenopausal woman who is tired of feeling like her best days are behind her. I know that woman well.

After coaching women in nutrition and wellness for years, I spent a long season being quiet as I walked through two knee replacements six months apart, and held my breath while my son enlisted in the Army.

What I discovered in that pause changed everything about how I coach – and everything about what I believe is possible for women in this season.

Here at Whole Wellness Freedom, we do wellness differently. We start with faith. We move with grace. We nourish our postmenopausal bodies with intention not punishment. And we do none of it alone.

This page is your weekly source for 🌿 Faith-grounded wellness tips for postmenopausal women 📖 Beyond the Pause — our blog for women rising into their next chapter 💌 Encouragement, scripture, and real talk every week 🤝 A community that truly gets this season of life.

"She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come." — Proverbs 31:25

You are not behind. You are not too late. You are right on time.

Welcome, friend. I'm so glad you're here.

He has made everything beautiful in its time…
…no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11

Don’t look at yourself like a problem that needs to be fixed. You were made beautiful, you are beautiful. Do not compare yourself to others in any way. Treat yourself with compassion. You have been set apart to complete your own unique purpose. Discover your gifts and be who you were created to be.

National Forgiveness Week is celebrated every year in the third week of June for offering forgiveness to others and seeking forgiveness from God. I don’t know about you, but I ask for forgiveness every day. We live in a broken world and it is a difficult road for even the best of us most days, we are human after all. But every day is a new chance to be a better person.

So how about this week, you start a habit of seeking forgiveness for yourself and offering forgiveness for others. Start by asking God for forgiveness for yourself and then ask Him to help you forgive others just as He forgives you. No matter how much their actions or words hurt you, forgive them and let it go. It doesn’t make less of what they did, but it will help take the weight of the emotion off of you. Forgiving others is as much for you as it is for them.
