The tip of the nose is one of the trickiest spots for skin cancer → thin tissue, high visibility, very little room for error. ☀️

Using Mohs surgery, the cancer was removed layer by layer until the margins were completely clear, then the area was reconstructed to keep the nose's natural shape intact.

Precision here isn't just about the cancer being gone. It's about walking away from surgery still looking like yourself.

1. If a spot has been there for months and won't heal, stop waiting. A sore that won't heal, bleeds easily, or keeps coming back should be evaluated by a dermatologist. Early detection often means simpler treatment and better outcomes.

2. "It doesn't hurt" doesn't mean it's harmless.
Many skin cancers are painless in their early stages. If you notice a new, changing, or persistent spot, don't wait for it to become painful before getting it checked.

3. You don't have to burn to damage your skin.
UV exposure adds up over time, even without a sunburn. Daily protection is one of the best investments you can make for your skin's long-term health.

4. Google can't biopsy your skin. No amount of searching photos online can tell you if a spot is cancerous. If you're concerned enough to Google it, you're concerned enough to get it checked.

5. Don't let fear of a biopsy stop you from getting answers.
A quick biopsy is far easier than treating a skin cancer that's been ignored for months or years.

Precision matters at every step. One of the advantages of having the same surgeon perform both Mohs surgery and reconstruction is continuity of care. 🩵

By managing the entire process from tumor removal to repair, Dr. Parker is able to make real-time decisions, avoid communication gaps, and ensure the reconstruction is tailored to the specific needs of each patient.

This approach helps streamline care, minimize delays, and provide a more seamless experience from diagnosis through healing.
