With a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Adelphi University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree cm laude from Long Island University, his commitment to excellence is unmatched. He is a certified Dry Needle Practitioner and Certified Upper Quarter Physical Therapist through Johns Hopkins University.

If you didn't read through all of that, all you need to know is...Dr. Schmitt is super excellent at what he does and you're in good hands.

REUNITED!
Maximilian is a lucky boy and reunited with his fur sister. Thank you to the alert team at Hat City Physical Therapy who spotted him out of their window on Federal Road, and the quick thinking of team member Jeanne who snagged him. Thank you to CTDGRV Leslie and Alex who scooped him up and got him to animal control to be reunited. Whew little one!

Missing in Danbury. This small male Dachshund is missing from the Federal Rd area near Mitchell's Gas Station & Modzelewski Tires. He has a long body and floppy ears and is missed terribly by his humans. This is a busy traffic area so please do NOT call out or chase as this may make him run. If seen, please call/text the # on the flyer asap with details on when and where you saw him so that his owner can get there fast. If you live/work in the area, please check security cameras for him. Maybe he's hiding due to the heavy rain this afternoon.

Morning Reflection | 2026 Alliance Tour

Behind every successful veteran program is a story that most people never get to see.

They’ll see the horses, the service dogs, the beautiful barns, the peaceful trails, and the smiling faces of veterans finding hope again.

What they won’t see are the countless early mornings, late nights, endless maintenance, fundraising calls, grant applications, social media posts, paperwork, feeding schedules, veterinary appointments, cleaning stalls, repairing fences, caring for the animals, and everything else it takes to keep these programs alive.

Many of our partners are led by just a handful of dedicated people and a few incredible volunteers. Even our larger partner organizations are built on the sacrifice of people who quietly give more of themselves than anyone realizes so they can be ready when a veteran reaches out for help.

This morning, I simply want to say this:

I see you. We see you.

Your hard work does not go unnoticed.

We know what it takes. We know what it costs.

Because of your dedication, veterans, first responders, and families across this country are finding healing, purpose, and hope.

So to every founder, every volunteer, every board member, every trainer, every barn manager, every foster, every supporter, and every person carrying more than anyone realizes…
