Ms. Terri consistently goes above and beyond in everything she does. Her dedication, positive attitude and willingness to help others make a lasting impact on our team every day. Whether stepping in to support coworkers, sharing knowledge or offering words of encouragement, she shows what teamwork and leadership look like.

What an amazing start to our summer program at The Danville Day School!

This week, our young scientists explored the exciting world of science through hands-on experiments, colorful reactions and plenty of discovery. Students created bubbling underwater volcanoes, made stretchy slime and watched expanding snow grow before their eyes. They were amazed by the colorful patterns in our tie-dye milk experiment and loved watching a simple combination of Skittles and water transform into a beautiful rainbow Ferris wheel of colors.

Every day was filled with curiosity, creativity and excitement as students experimented, observed and learned through play. Seeing their enthusiasm and wonder as they explored different scientific concepts made for a fantastic first week! We can’t wait to see what adventures next week will bring! 🌟

South Boston Day School celebrated our end-of-the-year grade level promotions and our high school graduate on May 27! Families, staff and community partners came together to recognize and celebrate student achievements with a special ceremony, fellowship and cupcakes.

We are proud of the hard work, growth and accomplishments our students have achieved this school year. Congratulations to all of our students as they take the next step in their journey!

South Boston Day School students proudly showcased their creativity and hard work during our End of Year Student Scholar Showcase! Students presented a wide range of science projects, including volcanoes, slime experiments, catapults and paper airplanes, while also highlighting their artistic talents through watercolor paintings, oil pastels and mixed media artwork.

Families and community members enjoyed walking through the showcase and celebrating the learning, creativity and growth our students have achieved this school year. We are proud of our students and the impressive work they created!

Staff at South Boston Day School are winding down the school year with a little celebration and self-care! Linked in Grace joined us during lunch for a permanent jewelry pop-up, giving staff the opportunity to choose an anklet or bracelet as a special thank-you for all their hard work this year.

It was a fun way to celebrate an amazing school year together. We are grateful to Linked in Grace for providing this unique experience and helping us recognize the dedication of our staff. Thank you for making our day extra special!

Who says learning and self-care can’t be fun? 🐥💚

To celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month, we showed our amazing staff at Danville Day School some well-deserved appreciation! We hosted weekly rounds of Mental Health Bingo and a “Duck Pond” filled with fun wellness prizes.

Teaching our students takes a lot of energy, and we want to make sure our team takes time for self-care too. Thank you to all the staff who participated and continue to prioritize wellness! 🌿✨

Last week, we celebrated our Mental Health Technicians! We are fortunate to have an incredible team of direct care staff at The Hughes Center. Their patience, dedication and passion for the work they do make a difference every day.

The role they serve is both challenging and rewarding, and we are deeply appreciative of the time, care and intention they bring to supporting the youth in our care. Thank you for all that you do. You are greatly appreciated!
