A hard drop-off doesn’t always mean your child isn’t ready. 💛 Sometimes, those tears simply mean, “I’m going to miss you,” “This feels new,” or “I need a little more time.”
As children head back to school, remember that confidence doesn’t always look like walking through the door without fear. Sometimes, confidence is feeling nervous and still taking the next step.
Parents can help by keeping goodbyes loving, confident, short, and predictable. When we communicate, “I know this is hard, and I know you can do it,” we help our children borrow our calm and build confidence of their own.
At TOPY, we help children strengthen the social-emotional skills they need to manage big feelings, adjust to change, build confidence, and navigate school successfully—one skill at a time. 🌱
🧡 Your confidence becomes theirs.
