Cancer care closer to home makes a difference for patients and their families. 💙

AdventHealth Fish Memorial welcomed community members to its Oncology Open House, highlighting expanded cancer care services for patients and families across West Volusia, including DeLand.

During the open house, community members learned about our new Varian TrueBeam technology, which helps deliver precise radiation treatments while protecting nearby healthy tissue. Patients also have access to medical oncology, nurse navigators, genetic counseling, nutritional support, and more.

We're grateful to continue caring for our West Volusia community and making cancer care more accessible.

For students exploring their future, experiencing health care careers firsthand can help them discover what’s possible.

More than 800 students from 15 schools across Volusia and Flagler counties joined AdventHealth’s Step Into the Future Career Experience, exploring clinical and non-clinical career paths through hands-on simulation labs, virtual reality and conversations with our team members.

With support from our school partners and AdventHealth volunteers, students had the opportunity to ask questions, discover new possibilities and learn how a career in health care could help them make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Immediate CPR can double or triple a person’s chance of survival after cardiac arrest, according to our friends at the American Heart Association.

If someone is unresponsive and not breathing normally, call 911 right away and begin CPR.

A summer can shape a future.

This summer, 60 Lake County high school students stepped into hospital life through AdventHealth Waterman’s Teen Summer Volunteer Program, serving patients and discovering more about where their own paths might lead.

For some, it confirmed a future in health care. For others, it simply meant growing confidence, finding purpose and learning the power of showing up for someone else.

Nine weeks. 60 students. A lot of possibilities.
