🚨 SAGE RX WEIGHT LOSS IS COMING — HERE’S HOW WE’RE ROLLING IT OUT
We are getting very close to launching Sage Rx Medical Weight Loss for Sage members.
Rather than dump an entire new program on everyone at once, I’m going to walk you through the process step by step so that by the time ordering opens, you already understand exactly how it works.
STEP ONE: THE GFE
Before a patient can enter the Sage Rx weight-loss program, they will need the appropriate Good Faith Exam (GFE) completed.
The GFE is the medical evaluation that establishes the patient/provider relationship and determines whether the patient is an appropriate candidate for treatment.
For Sage members, we will have a defined GFE pathway available so you are not left trying to figure this out on your own.
The basic patient flow will look like this:
Patient wants to start medical weight loss
→ GFE completed
→ Patient intake/order submitted
→ Prescription reviewed and signed by Dr. Feferman
→ Medication sent to our approved pharmacy
→ Medication shipped
→ You manage and follow the patient under the Sage program
A few important things to understand:
• The GFE comes before the medication order.
• A GFE is not just a formality. It is the medical evaluation that allows the prescribing process to begin.
• Sage is building the workflow so that you have a repeatable system rather than having to create your own prescribing process.
• Dr. Feferman will be the prescribing physician for Sage Rx medications.
• Sage Rx medications will go through Sage’s approved pharmacy pathway.
• You will still manage the ongoing relationship with your weight-loss patient, including follow-up and required documentation.
Over the next several posts I’ll walk you through:
GFE → patient intake → ordering → pricing → prescription → shipping → follow-up/refills → documentation
You do not need to memorize everything at once.
By launch, we will give you the complete workflow and training so you know exactly what happens at each step.
