Yesterday, Care Synergy celebrated something truly special: the people who have dedicated years of their lives to caring for others.

At our first annual Service Awards Celebration, we honored 63 employees celebrating 5-, 10-, 15-, 20-, 25- and even 30-year anniversaries. Together, their years of service represent an incredible 555 years of compassion, commitment, care and innovation.

But these milestones are about so much more than numbers. They represent relationships built, families supported, communities strengthened and countless meaningful moments shared along the way.

A highlight of the celebration was the debut of a special video featuring Care Synergy Affiliate employees sharing their stories and reflecting on why their work matters so much to them and to the communities they serve.

Their words are a beautiful reminder that an organization's greatest strength is its people.

We’re excited to share some wonderful news about the next chapter of leadership at Care Synergy.

Care Synergy has named Dr. Emily Guth, a registered nurse and physician with more than 15 years of healthcare leadership experience, as our new chief operating officer. Dr. Guth will begin her new role on September 21 and brings extensive experience in clinical operations, care management, palliative care, PACE, quality and regulatory compliance.

As COO, Dr. Guth will help guide Care Synergy’s daily operations, strategic ex*****on and care delivery while working closely with our affiliate presidents, frontline leaders and clinical teams across Colorado.

We’re grateful to Hospice News for highlighting Dr. Guth’s appointment and to reporter Holly Vossel for sharing this story and helping spotlight the important work happening across hospice and palliative care.

Strong leaders help build strong teams — and strong teams help us provide the very best care and support to the people we serve.

This morning, Care Synergy hosted an HR Manager Fundamentals Training to give leaders across Care Synergy and our Affiliates practical knowledge, resources and tools to help them navigate the many responsibilities that come with supporting and leading our teams.

The training covered important topics including recruitment and onboarding, compensation and benefits, performance management, coaching, leave and workplace accommodations, employment law, employee relations, payroll and timekeeping, and leadership best practices.

At Care Synergy, we’re committed to giving our leaders the support they need to do their jobs as well as possible. Because when our leaders are equipped to support our employees, our employees are better equipped to support our patients, participants and families.

It’s all connected — and it starts with investing in our people.

Bringing Care to People at Home
For people who are homebound, getting to medical appointments and other health services can be challenging. Colorado Visiting Nurse Association (CVNA) is helping make important foot and health care more accessible through At Home Foot Care, bringing this service directly to patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Coming Together for a Cause
Good food, good company and a great cause came together at Hamburgers for Hospice on Friday, September 4. The event raised more than $1,000 to support Pathways’ specialized care and support, helping bring comfort and peace of mind to families when they need it most.

Independence is important at every stage of life. At Colorado PACE, helping older adults maintain that independence is at the heart of what they do. As a new school year begins, we’re celebrating a very special milestone: 10 years of partnership between Care Synergy and Arrupe Jesuit High School!

Known as “The School That Works,” Arrupe Jesuit combines classroom education with real-world work experience. Since 2016, students have worked in support roles across Care Synergy and its Affiliates while earning money through their work-study program to help pay for their education.

Through our intern scholarship program, Care Synergy covers the cost of each participating student’s tuition. It’s an investment in students who may not otherwise have had the opportunity to pursue this education. More than 80% of Arrupe Jesuit students are the first in their families to graduate from high school.

It’s also an investment in the future of healthcare.

“Workforce challenges are real across the healthcare industry,” said Tricia Ford, Care Synergy CEO Elect and COO. “We have the opportunity to introduce students to meaningful careers, build relationships over time, and develop future employees who already understand our culture and expectations.”

For a decade, this partnership has created opportunities, strengthened our community and helped develop the next generation of professionals.

From investing in leadership and welcoming the next generation of hospice physicians to sharing our expertise on the airwaves and supporting the fight against Alzheimer's disease, our Affiliates continue to strengthen our communities and advance our mission every day.

Great organizations are built on trust, transparency, collaboration, and a commitment to developing leaders. Last week, Care Synergy put those values into action by bringing together the Boards of Directors and senior leaders from across our Affiliate organizations for a meaningful day of connection, conversation, and collaboration (https://caresynergynetwork.org/blog/18012/Bringing-Leaders-Together-to-Strengthen-the-Future-of-Care-Synergy). The organization also invested in the future by hosting a full day of Leadership Development Training, equipping leaders from across the network with the tools to continue strengthening our culture and advancing our mission (https://caresynergynetwork.org/blog/18031/Care-Synergy-Invests-in-Leadership-Development-Across-Its-Network).

Speaking of investing in the future, The Denver Hospice welcomed the University of Colorado Anschutz Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship Class of 2027 as the fellows begin their clinical rotations with the TDH team. Meanwhile, radio waves were crackling with Care Synergy energy. Pathways Director of Business Development Natalie Petersen and Vice President of Clinical Services Marianne Buss joined the team at Good Morning NOCO to share their personal journeys, discuss the work of Pathways, and highlight the important role hospice plays in our communities (https://caresynergynetwork.org/blog/18024/Care-Synergy-In-The-News-7-31-26). Colorado PACE also continues to make an impact beyond the walls of its center by participating in this year's Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's.
