The 8th Annual Virtual Neurology Summit is almost here, and I want to make sure you have your seat.

The Virtual Neurology Summit is an annual event hosted by the American Posture Institute, designed exclusively for healthcare professionals. The purpose is simple: to give you cutting-edge, brain-based clinical strategies to get better results with your patients.

This year’s theme is Neuroplasticity: How to Prevent Maladaptive Brain Changes & Stimulate Brain Optimization.

You will learn what’s new and what’s working in neuroplasticity-based rehabilitation—no fluff, all clinical.

I am honored to be a featured speaker. I will be presenting on The Dark Side of Neuroplasticity. By tuning in to my session you will learn how to avoid costly mistakes.

The speakers at this summit are exceptional. The guest faculty includes a Nobel Prize Nominee, Ivy League clinicians, bestselling brain authors, PhD researchers, and world-renowned practitioners spanning neurology, functional medicine, chiropractic neurology, physical therapy, and more.

Every clinical outcome you produce—good or bad—has neuroplasticity at its root. The brain actively reorganizes based upon what it is repeatedly exposed to. That reorganization can be adaptive or maladaptive.

Research found that the brain loses approximately 5% of its volume per decade after age 40 (Furman et al., 2022). Without intentional clinical intervention, that trajectory accelerates—driven by chronic pain, postural dysfunction, neuroinflammation, and maladaptive lifestyle inputs.

A 2024 peer-reviewed study in Frontiers in Molecular Neuroscience (Zou & Hao, 2024) found that patients with chronic pain showed measurable reductions in cortical thickness in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex—and that targeted neuro rehabilitation directly reversed those changes.

The brain requires specific inputs to optimize neuroplasticity: stimulation of neurotrophic factors (especially BDNF), targeted motor and sensory input, and deliberate reactivation of key functional brain regions. Without them, the brain continues to wire toward dysfunction.

The clinicians who understand how to provide adaptive neuroplastic inputs will get the best results with their patients long term.

That is exactly what the 8th Annual Virtual Neurology Summit is designed to teach you.
