Northstar Aromatics As a Winemaker turned Aromatherapist my passion has always focused on aromatics. I encourage and teach only safe, ethical sourcing and use of essential oils.

I look forward to sharing my gift of hand poured and hand crafted alchemy with you. Koru Essential Oils is created out of the love of science and nature. I studied wine making in Washington State, earning a degree in Enology, Viticulture, and Fermentation Science. Built on a foundation in the wine industry and medical massage therapy, aromatherapy seemed to be a natural next step. The pure therape

utic essential oils are hand chosen from all over the world. I'm so excited to be working with my very own oils and know exactly what they are, what they are not, where they come from - dialed down to the latitude, longitude, soil type, harvest date and even the Brix! (Sugar measurement, or Brix, isn't just specific to wine - it's applied to essential oils as well.) It's just one of the many important variables that assist me in determining the aroma quality, chemical compounds, their concentrations, as well as purity! Most of my oils are wild grown or certified organic as well. I only bottle the highest quality oils and I run trial after trial to assure that everything that goes into Koru Essential Oils is of the highest quality. I even hand pour, hand bottle, and hand label them, typically upon order so that they remain fresh until you receive them! Think of a demanding aromatic wine that knocks your socks off and you (might) be prepared to experience Koru Essential Oils!

One thing I still hear all the time is, โ€œWait, I can shop at MANNA even if Iโ€™m not a member?โ€

Yes. Yes you can. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’›

You do not have to be a member to shop there. Everyone is welcome, and itโ€™s such a great place to find local foods, local products, fresh produce, grab-and-go items, bulk goods, wellness products, and so many Minnesota-made finds.

As one of the many local vendors referenced in this story, I get to see firsthand how much heart, work, and intention Ryan, Maree, and the MANNA team pour into supporting this community.

MANNA is so much more than a grocery store. They support local farmers, makers, producers, families, and small businesses while helping keep our downtown and rural food systems strong.

Thank you, Lakes Country Networking Group, for highlighting Northstar Aromatics and my Bug Guard line.

These products are extra meaningful to me because I originally created them for my own little one. I wanted something for summer skin that was non-sticky, smelled good, and was thoughtfully crafted with safety, family life, and very determined Minnesota mosquitoes in mind.

Bug Guard and Little Explorer Bug Guard have become some of my most-loved summer products, and Iโ€™m so grateful every time another family reaches for them before heading outside.

A huge thank you to Mind Body & Spirit Books and Gifts for carrying Northstar Aromatics single oils and for sharing the heart behind what I do.

These bottles are not factory produced, and they are definitely not part of any MLM. Every order is hand poured, labeled, and prepared by me in small batches here in Minnesota. That matters to me, and it means the world when another small business notices and shares that with their customers.

Tonight is one of those nights.

This weekend brings us a rare Blue Micromoon, a full moon that is special because it is the second full moon in the same month and also happening while the moon is farther from Earth.

It may not actually look blue, but that almost makes it more beautiful, doesnโ€™t it?

A reminder that some things are named for their rarity, not their appearance.

Step outside tonight if you can. Look up. Take the deep breath. Notice the quiet. Send the text to someone you love and say, โ€œGo look at the moon.โ€
