After an incredible 43 years of dedicated service at Ecumen Detroit Lakes, Julie is beginning a well-deserved new chapter. As our Laundry Supervisor, Julie's hard work, commitment, and caring spirit have touched countless residents, families, and coworkers throughout the years.

The gentlemen had a great afternoon at the Men's Group. They enjoyed painting their bird feeders, sharing conversation, and spending quality time together. The activity provided a fun opportunity for creativity and socialization. In addition to the hands-on project, the group discussed information on birds, the various foods that can be offered to attract them, and the nutritional benefits of each. It was a fun event!

Our Life Enrichment Team transformed the dining room into a mini county fair so our long-term care residents could enjoy all the fun without leaving home. Residents savored mini donuts and hot dogs while trying their hand at fair favorites like bobbing ducks and bean bag toss games.

The room was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and wonderful memories. Thank you to our dedicated team for finding creative ways to bring meaningful experiences to our residents every day.

This afternoon we enjoyed nature and the company of some of our wonderful team members, including some of our cooks and Charlie (who escaped the pictures). We had wonderful company and some great laughs. One of our residents even made a new friend with a Dragonfly that landed on his nose. We had a great laugh. It was a delightful afternoon. We love when out team members join in on activities.

Please join us in congratulating Deanna on her retirement after nearly 44 years at Ecumen Detroit Lakes!

From her first day in 1982 to today, Deanna has served our residents with compassion, dignity, and joy. Her dedication, friendly conversations, and special holiday traditions will be remembered for years to come.

Thank you for making a difference in so many lives, Deanna. We are grateful for your years of service and wish you a wonderful retirement!

We had fun last week! We enjoyed the beautiful music from our own Jennifer Short and delicious malts afterwards. Residents so enjoyed the music and malts. Then to wrap up the week we had some wonderful volunteers come through to show off their vintage tractors. It was such a treat and so much fun! We thank our wonderful volunteers.

Who says snowball fights are only for winter? ☃️

Our residents put their throwing skills to the test after enjoying a delightful charcuterie social. Team members volunteered to balance red solo cups on their heads while residents aimed snowballs to knock them down. The challenge was accepted, and our residents did not disappoint!

A huge shoutout to our Life Enrichment team for organizing another activity full of laughter, engagement, and unforgettable moments.
