There were two entrees to win a 60 minute Swedish Massage this month.

Jesse Costello nominated his wife, Hali Costello. He praised her for being “a hardworking stay at home mom that’s also earning her degree and feels this would be incredible for her. “

Monica Lea nominated Micah Norgard 💛 “Several months ago, Hesed Place put out a call for a volunteer yoga instructor for their ENGAGE Program, and Micah answered.

Recently relocated to New Bern and starting over, Micah is a Marine veteran and trauma-trained yoga instructor who specializes in Yoga Nidra—a deeply restorative practice that we honestly knew very little about before he joined us. Now, it’s something we can’t imagine ENGAGE without.

Micah has given so generously of his time, knowledge, and heart to our community. He embodies the very heart of Hesed—loving kindness—and continually creates a space where people can slow down, feel safe, and simply be.

It would mean so much to see this incredibly giving human being on the receiving side for a change. 💛

Micah deserves a little rest, restoration, and care of his own. A massage would be such a beautiful gift to someone who gives so much to others! 🫶”

Since there were only two entries, I couldn’t pick just one! So for my inaugural monthly drawing of a deserving individual in our area, I am awarding both the free massage!!! Thank you both for your nominations.

My booth at Mumfest 26 has been approved! I will have chair massage and my daughter Liv will be doing henna. Here is a practice design she did on me while on vacation recently. I am so excited about our family business venture. 🤗

I just received my Master Reiki attunement from Transcending With Sarah at Transcendent Wellness!!! I felt so emotional during the attunement and had a very spiritual experience. I truly believe in healing happens within the mind, body, and soul and have moved another step closer to my dream tonight. Thank you Sarah and Transcendent Wellness.

I will soon be offering additional Reiki services to my clients, such as performing Reiki on their homes, distance Reiki, and attuning others to perform self Reiki for their own healing journeys. I’m so excited!!!
