Joint attention is important as it is a foundational skill for language development and communication & social interactions with others.

Communication is important as it is a basic human right, and it is how we connect and engage with others around us.

Think of all the ways you use your language and communicate with others throughout the day that is not labeling an object/picture or requesting an item.

There is so much more to language and communication. While labeling and requesting ARE important, let’s make sure we don’t stop there.
