Eno River Family Wellness DPC Direct Primary Care

10/20/2026

It can.

Direct Primary Care is not designed only for people who are sick often.

Primary care is also about prevention, knowing your baseline, keeping screenings and wellness needs on track, asking questions before they become bigger concerns, and having a trusted provider available when something does come up.

For someone who is generally healthy, DPC can mean:

🌿 More time for preventive conversations
🩺 A provider who knows what “normal” looks like for you
📱 Someone to reach out to when you are unsure what to do
🗓️ Easier access when an unexpected illness or concern happens
💚 An ongoing relationship instead of starting from scratch each visit

The value is not measured by how many appointments you can fit into a year.

It is having a primary care relationship there when you need it.

Not sure whether membership makes sense for your healthcare needs? Let’s talk at a free Meet & Greet.

Heather Fayhee, MSN, FNP-C, has spent more than two decades caring for patients—and that experience shaped the kind of practice she wanted to create.

Eno River Family Wellness was founded on the belief that primary care should be personal, accessible, and relationship-based.

Direct Primary Care gives Heather the ability to spend more time listening, teaching, answering questions, and partnering with patients instead of building every interaction around a rushed visit.

It means getting to know the person behind the chart.

It means having conversations about prevention, not only reacting when something goes wrong.

And it means creating a place where patients can feel comfortable reaching out when they need guidance.

That is the heart of Eno River Family Wellness: relationship-first family medicine without unnecessary barriers.

Direct Primary Care is often described as a membership model—but the monthly fee is only part of the story.

The bigger difference is what that model makes possible.

Instead of building your care around short visits and insurance billing, DPC creates space for a stronger patient-provider relationship.

At Eno River Family Wellness, that means care designed around:

⏰ Time — appointments with room for real conversation
📱 Access — easier ways to reach your provider
🩺 Continuity — seeing someone who knows your history
🌿 Prevention — time to talk about health before something becomes urgent
💳 Predictability — a clear monthly membership instead of a copay for every covered visit

For many patients, the most valuable part of DPC isn’t simply what is included.

It is knowing that when something comes up, they have a primary care provider who already knows them.

Beginning in 2026, federal HSA rules changed in an important way for Direct Primary Care.

If you have a Health Savings Account, HSA funds can be used tax-free to pay or reimburse fees for a qualifying Direct Primary Care service arrangement.

That means eligible patients may be able to use money they have already set aside for healthcare toward their DPC membership.

The rules do include specific requirements for what qualifies as a Direct Primary Care service arrangement, and your personal HSA eligibility depends on your individual coverage and circumstances.

The big takeaway? If you have an HSA, it is worth asking how it may work with Direct Primary Care.

At Eno River Family Wellness, we are happy to talk through how our membership works so you can ask the right questions of your HSA administrator or tax professional.

One of the most common questions we hear is: “If I join Direct Primary Care, do I still need insurance?”

For many people, the answer is yes—because DPC and health insurance are designed to do different jobs.

Your Eno River Family Wellness membership is focused on your everyday primary care relationship: routine visits, preventive care, acute concerns, chronic condition support, direct communication, and the primary care services included in your membership.

Health insurance can still be important for expenses outside the practice, such as:

• Emergency room care
• Hospitalizations
• Specialists
• Surgery
• Advanced imaging
• Other major medical expenses

Think of it this way: insurance helps protect you from larger healthcare costs, while DPC gives you more direct access to the primary care relationship you use throughout the year.

You don’t have to choose between having coverage and having a provider who knows you.

Have questions about how DPC could work alongside your current coverage? Schedule a free Meet & Greet.

For a lot of people, primary care has started to feel like this: wait weeks for an appointment, spend a few rushed minutes with a provider, leave with unanswered questions, and start over the next time you need care.

Direct Primary Care is designed differently.

At Eno River Family Wellness, membership is built around a relationship with your provider—not the number of visits you can squeeze into a year.

That can mean:

🌿 Longer appointments with time to actually talk
📱 Direct communication when questions come up
🗓️ Easier access to care when you need it
🩺 Preventive, acute, and chronic care in one consistent relationship
💚 A provider who has the time to know your health story

DPC isn’t about adding another layer to healthcare. It’s about removing barriers between you and your primary care provider.

Curious what that could look like for you? Start with a free Meet & Greet with Heather.

Heather didn’t create Eno River Family Wellness because primary care needed another complicated system.

She created it because she wanted to make primary care feel more human.

After more than two decades caring for patients, Heather believes some of the most important parts of healthcare are also some of the simplest:

Listening carefully.
Knowing the person in front of you.
Making time for questions.
Explaining options.
Following the story over time.

Direct Primary Care gives Heather the opportunity to build the practice around those things.

At Eno River Family Wellness, the goal is for patients to feel like they have a trusted provider to turn to — not just an office they call when something goes wrong.

Personal.
Accessible.
Thoughtful.
Connected.

That’s the kind of primary care Heather believes in, and it’s what Eno River Family Wellness was created to provide.

Your health needs change over time.

Some seasons are focused on prevention and staying well.

Others bring a new diagnosis, medication questions, an unexpected illness, changing health goals, or simply the need for someone you trust to help you make sense of what comes next.

That is why continuity matters.

At Eno River Family Wellness, Direct Primary Care brings preventive, acute, and chronic care into one consistent relationship.

Your provider isn’t only there for one appointment.

Over time, Heather has the opportunity to understand your history, recognize what has changed, know what matters to you, and help coordinate the bigger picture of your care.

For individuals and families, that can mean having one trusted place to turn through many different seasons of health.

Because primary care should be more than a visit.

It should be a relationship.
