“Natalya, they featured you in our Mount Lebanon magazine! You should take pride in your accomplishment!” — that’s how my morning commenced today.
And genuinely… in that moment, what I felt wasn’t pride. It was gratitude. For the journey. For the individuals I encountered along the way. And for the version of myself that determined not to relinquish, even when it was daunting. When you relocate to a new country, people don’t witness your tears, sleepless nights, fear of starting anew, working without respite, or the moments when you feel depleted. People typically only perceive the outcome.
Today, holding this magazine in my hands alongside my morning coffee, I wasn’t pondering the article itself. I was reflecting on how many iterations of myself I had to shed to become who I am today. As a hypnotherapist, I witness daily how challenging change can be — letting go of the past, overcoming fears, and learning how to prioritize oneself again. And perhaps that’s why I comprehend so profoundly the value of incremental steps and significant inner triumphs.
And yes, garnering five-star reviews and expressions of gratitude necessitates an enormous amount of effort. Behind every star are years of dedication, countless hours with clients, responsibility for people’s narratives, continuous growth, and a genuine desire to facilitate someone’s transformation.
Maybe that’s why moments like this affect me so profoundly — not because of accolades, but because they remind me that even the smallest steps taken through fear can eventually lead you to places you never envisioned you’d attain. I extend my gratitude to every individual who entrusted me with a part of their story. Without you, this page wouldn’t exist.
