Stephanie Grandjean, the center's division director of crisis services, said the warmline was for people "who aren't at that level of crisis and maybe don't want to reach out, specifically, to a crisis line, but just a safe space to talk." Read more at LocalSYR.com.

Contact Community Services has been providing compassionate support to those in crisis for nearly 55 years. Now the center is working to transition away from crisis support via the hotline toward making emotional connections with people on a warmline.

We want to share an important update with our community regarding the Contact Hotline.

The Contact Hotline phone number (315-251-0600) is staying the same, but the line will no longer be monitored 24/7 and is transitioning to a Warmline model with designated operating hours.

The Contact Warmline will provide supportive listening, emotional support, and connection for individuals who may need someone to talk to.

Please note:
• 988 crisis support is still available 24/7
• 211 community resource support is still available 24/7
• Contact Community Services will continue answering both 988 and 211 calls around the clock

Yesterday, we celebrated 211 Day 💙

Every day, our Crisis Services team answers calls from people who need help with food, housing, utilities, transportation, mental health support, and so much more.

Behind every 2-1-1 call is a real person navigating something heavy. And behind every answered call is a trained specialist ready to listen, problem-solve, and connect them to local resources 24/7.

We’re proud to be part of a network that makes help easy to remember and simple to access: just dial 2-1-1.
