Before and after treatment with Jane. Watch Jane as she observes the patient’s posture before treatment. She highlights areas that are visibly out of alignment.

She uses this information to know how to treat the patient using Myofascial Release Therapy and Osteopathic Manual Treatment. By focusing on the fascia and allowing it to release, we are creating space and elongating the tissue. This will help the body to return to proper alignment.

Many of these issue take a long time to develop and need consistent treatment to give the body the time and dedication needed to resolve the tension.

Notice the changes after treatment. You can visibly observe improvements from just one session.

This patient is pregnant and came into see Jane experiencing sciatica pain. Watch Jane as she does her assessment. She discovers that this patient has a sacral torsion which could be causing the discomfort she is feeling.

Jane continues into treatment positioning the patient on the table and asking her to lift her leg and hold. After a series of these prolonged holds, Jane assesses the patient again and observes an improvement in her sacrum!

It is amazing what we can discover and begin to heal by listening to the patient, making an evaluation of how their bodies are presenting and then treating using Myofascial Release Therapy and Osteopathic Manual Therapy. All without abrupt movements of the skeletal system or using brute force. These methods prove as gentle and effective ways of making changes to the fascia and skeletal system.

This patient came into see Jane for rib pain and sciatica. She is pregnant and experiencing pain and discomfort. Watch Jane assess her first for mobility and address her ribs and side body.

You may notice the difference from the beginning and end of this initial treatment in how much she is able to twist to the left and right after Jane’s guidance through an exercise to help her release.

In this technique, Jane uses the eyes to trick the body into creating more space. This is a simple way of putting it, of course, but with time and patience, along with Jane’s support, the patient is able to gain a significant amount of range of motion just from this exercise.

This video has been edited to save on length. What we are missing here are those long pauses and repeated motions to access that extra range of motion.

We will share a continuation of this treatment next to show you other ways Jane addresses this patients rib pain and sciatica!
