From the fast-paced environment of the ER to the precision and collaboration of the OR, these future nurses gained valuable clinical experience that will help prepare them for their careers while making a lasting impression about the importance of working together to support patients.

Dr. Roque Mifuji recently joined the staff of Lone Star National Bank and members of the Edinburg Rotary Club to discuss obesity, prevention strategies, and the importance of recommended health screenings and vaccinations.

Meet Imelda Salinas, Admissions Supervisor at DHR Health Pre-Admission Testing, proudly celebrating 18 years of service!

Imelda helps keep admissions running smoothly by preparing reports, registering patients, organizing charts, and making sure patients are ready for their visits. Her work helps create an efficient and welcoming experience for everyone who comes through the clinic.

What she loves most about DHR Health is the family atmosphere and the relationships she has built over the years. She appreciates having people she can lean on through both good and difficult times. Some of her most meaningful memories come from learning alongside her coworkers and being able to share her own experience with others. Knowing that something she taught helped someone else grow in their role is especially fulfilling to her.

Born and raised in Edinburg, Imelda is a proud wife and mother who values family both at home and at work. Outside of work, Imelda enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, traveling, and going on walks for exercise.

Meet Felipe Teyer, a Phlebotomist at DHR Health, proudly celebrating 12 years of service!

Felipe works closely with patients by drawing blood samples for lab testing and making sure they feel comfortable throughout the process. He takes pride in providing quality care and helping patients during their visit.

For Felipe, the most special part of his job is the connection he builds with patients. He enjoys seeing familiar faces who remember him by name and trust him with their care.

What he loves most about DHR Health is the opportunity it has given him to grow in his career while providing stability and support for his family.

A proud husband, father, and grandfather, Felipe says family is everything to him. Outside of work, Felipe enjoys camping, spending time at the ranch, and having barbecues with those he loves most.
