This Nurses Week, we are proud to spotlight Carley Taylor, VP of Quality Assurance, at the Milestone Support Center. Carley's story is one of growth. She started as a med aide years ago, where her compassion and critical thinking caught the eye of our leader, Caryl Ridgeway, who encouraged her to pursue nursing. She earned her LPN, then her RN, and has now been with Milestone since 2019, moving through DHW, RDHW, and now VP of Quality Assurance. Carley is the one we count on when a community is in crisis. Whether it's a distressed community or a pandemic, Carley shows up. She has a sharp eye for detail, a deep heart for residents, and a clinical instinct that safeguards Milestone every single day.

This Nurses Week, we celebrate Karen, Regional Director of Health and Wellness at the Milestone Support Center. Karen is, quite simply, our steady. A get-it-done nurse, she doesn't hesitate to jump in. When a community recently needed direct onsite support during a critical incident, Karen put resident safety first and then methodically worked through the issue from every angle. Her approach is calm, process-oriented, and educational. She doesn't rush to blame; she takes the time to understand. Karen leads with quiet accountability and a compass set firmly on compassion. Fun fact: she was hired to support Colorado and Oregon, not knowing she had a daughter in each state. Some things really are meant to be.

Chrissy was the very first addition to Milestone's clinical team after our current leadership purchased the company, and two years later, that decision continues to pay dividends. Chrissy leads with a teacher's approach, coming alongside her communities to help them grow. She brings clinical excellence, patience, kindness, and a quiet sense of humor that sneaks up on you the longer you talk to her. When a community needs her, Chrissy goes willingly. She is an exceptional nurse and an even better mentor.

This week at Milestone Retirement LLC, we pause to celebrate and honor the incredible nurses who are at the heart of everything we do, and this year's theme says it all: The Power of Nurses™.

That power shows up every single day in the dedication, compassion, and expertise our nurses bring to work, often in the most demanding and high-stakes moments imaginable. Their commitment to caring for others is nothing short of remarkable.

To our nurses: thank you! Thank you for the early mornings and late nights. Thank you for the steady hands, the calm voices, and the warm presence you bring to residents and families when they need it most. Thank you for going above and beyond, time and time again, without hesitation.
