Happy 63rd Birthday to my husband!

He would never ever toot his own horn, so I will for him!

This past year alone, he built me a building so I could move my personal training business into a new space….such a beautiful building.

He continues to be the best roofing salesman around (imo), not because he’s the loudest in the room, but because he’s honest, hardworking, and truly cares about people.

He takes incredible care of me, is the absolute best dog dad, and is hands down the best workout partner a girl could ask for.

Whether we are in the gym pushing through a workout or encouraging each other to stay healthy, he is always right by my side.

Through all of it, he remains humble, modest, grateful, and lives life through Faith.

As retirement gets closer, I am reminded how lucky I am to share life with a man who works hard, loves deeply, and never asks for recognition.

The older we get, the more I realize that some people don’t just make a living, they make everyone’s lives around them better.

That’s my husband.

Totally not bragging, but when I instruct a class….I “teach” also. If you have ever taken one of my group fitness classes, you have probably noticed this.💪🏻

A couple months ago I asked the boys if they wanted to drive with me to PA for my nieces graduation. All 3 wanted to, but unfortunately Luke couldn’t make it due to work.

So off we drove for 13 hours…. When you are a parent to younger kids, it seems as all you hear is “are we there yet”. But when you basically hold your twin 19 year old boys hostage in the car with you….it forces them to talk to you. (This is truly the best😁) Plus they can help drive!

I haven’t been home in almost 4 years, 😬 and we had 2 days to get a lot done!

Shopping, graduation, lots of good food, watching a million home videos, and family time. Time with parents is most likely taken for granted until they start to age. With dad in his 80’s and mom, late 70’s, I am very aware that each day they are still here on Earth is a blessed day, for sure.

This was a short trip home.
But an appreciated one.

I took in the little things like mom and dad’s banter back and forth, how they ALWAYS help one another out, how their concern for one another is beyond evident, and how much they TRULY love each other, their daughters, and their grandkids. And the boys were just so kind and patient with them. I loved watching that part.

What a trip.
One I honestly will remember forever.

Thank You, God, for the gift of this time, because I know it’s never guaranteed.
