Celebrating 3 Years at KIME

Today we celebrate Cara Filce, DPT, and her 3-year anniversary with KIME!

Over the past three years, Cara has established herself as one of the premier clinicians within our organization. As a KIME Fellow and back-to-back recipient of the KIME Honors Clinical Excellence Award, she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to mastering her craft and delivering exceptional outcomes.

What makes Cara truly special is her relentless pursuit of excellence. She continually seeks opportunities to learn, grow, and elevate the standard of care for the people who place their trust in KIME. Her impact extends beyond her patients—she raises the level of everyone around her through her leadership, professionalism, and example.

This month marks an exciting new chapter as Cara helps expand the KIME mission into Petaluma. We could not think of a better person to help establish and grow our presence in a new community.

Cara embodies what it means to pursue excellence, create meaningful impact, and help others achieve more than they thought possible.

Congratulations on three incredible years, Cara. Thank you for the lives you’ve impacted, the example you’ve set, and the future you’re helping build.

AI can write a protocol.

It can organize exercises.
It can build a progression.
It can generate a treatment plan in seconds.

But it can't coach a human being.

The future of healthcare isn't choosing between technology and people. It's using technology to make great clinicians even better.

Because the moments that change outcomes don't happen on a spreadsheet.

They happen when a coach notices what others miss.
When a clinician asks the right question.
When someone believes in a patient before they believe in themselves.

Protocols matter.

People matter more.

Welcome to the Team, Genoa Martin!

We're excited to officially welcome Genoa Martin, DPT, to the KIME team.

Genoa joins our Folsom clinic with 14 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, a CrossFit Level 1 certification, and a passion for helping people perform at their best. She recently earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Creighton University and continues to pursue excellence in sports medicine and performance-based care.

What makes this story even more special is that Genoa moved halfway across the country to join KIME and continue raising the bar in sports medicine.

Many of us first met Genoa as a student in our KIME Premier Sports Physical Therapy Rotation. Today, we're proud to welcome her back as a teammate.

Her commitment to growth, learning, and serving others aligns perfectly with who we are and where we're going.

Please join us in welcoming Genoa to the KIME family!

Celebrating 1 Year at KIME

Please join us in congratulating Justin Reimann, DPT, on his 1-year anniversary with KIME!

Justin joined KIME as a new graduate with a commitment to learn, grow, and make a difference. Over the past year, he has embraced every opportunity to develop his craft, serve his community, and contribute to our team.

His dedication to excellence, passion for helping others, and willingness to continually improve earned him KIME's 2025 Rising Star Award—a recognition reserved for team members who demonstrate exceptional growth and impact early in their journey.

Justin has become an invaluable teammate and an impactful clinician whose influence extends far beyond the walls of the clinic. Every day, he helps people move better, perform at a higher level, and regain confidence in what their bodies can do.

Congratulations, Justin, on an outstanding first year. We can't wait to see what's next!

Five years ago, Jonathan joined KIME as a physical therapist. But his journey into this profession started long before that.

As a lifelong soccer player, Jonathan suffered an ACL injury in high school. Like many athletes, he entered rehab focused on one goal: getting back to the sport he loved.

What he didn't expect was that the rehabilitation process itself would change the direction of his life.

Through recovery, strength training, conditioning, and countless hours on a bike, Jonathan discovered a passion for human performance. What began as part of his rehab evolved into a love for mountain biking, where he would go on to compete extensively throughout his adult life.

That experience sparked something bigger.

Jonathan pursued a career in strength and conditioning before eventually becoming a physical therapist. He continued investing in his education, completing one of the nation's premier residency programs and developing expertise that would later help shape the future of KIME.

Over the last five years, Jonathan has become a KIME Fellow, Subject Matter Expert, Community Lead, educator, mentor, and team leader. He has played a significant role in advancing clinical excellence across the organization and has been a driving force behind integrating new technology and performance testing into our ecosystem.

Most importantly, he continues to invest in people—patients, students, clinicians, and teammates alike.

It's fitting that a career built from the experience of being a patient has led to helping so many others through their own journeys.

Thank you, Jonathan, for five years of leadership, innovation, and commitment to the KIME mission. We're grateful for the impact you've made and excited to see what comes next.

Celebrating 3 Years with Leilani at KIME! 🎉

For the past three years, Leilani has been a consistent source of care, professionalism, and support for our patients, teammates, and community.

As a member of our Customer Service Team, she plays an important role in creating the Perfect Patient Experience—making every interaction feel welcoming, thoughtful, and supported. Her ability to take care of people and represent KIME's values is felt by everyone who walks through our doors.

This year, Leilani was recognized with the KIME Honors Integrity Award, a reflection of the trust, accountability, and high standards she brings to her work every day.

At KIME, integrity means doing the right thing, serving others well, and consistently showing up for the people who count on you. Leilani embodies those qualities in everything she does.

Thank you, Leilani, for three years of dedication, care, and impact. We are grateful for everything you do and excited to celebrate this milestone with you.

💙 Happy 3-Year Anniversary!

California has officially recognized May as ACL Awareness Month.

And for good reason.

ACL injuries have more than doubled over the last two decades — especially in youth athletes — becoming one of the most common and devastating injuries in sports today.

But this is bigger than awareness.

Research consistently shows that evidence-based neuromuscular training programs can reduce ACL injury risk by 50–88%.

That means prevention is possible.
The challenge is implementation.

KIME Human Performance Institute (KIME HPI) is a nonprofit organization built to help solve this exact problem — providing teams, athletes, and communities with access to performance testing, movement analysis, injury prevention strategies, and evidence-informed training systems designed to reduce injury risk and improve long-term athlete health.

One of the ways we do this is through advanced return-to-sport testing using force plate technology — including Single Leg Countermovement Jump Power testing — helping us objectively measure asymmetries, power output, force production, and recovery progress following ACL injury and reconstruction.

Athletes receive a comprehensive ACL Return-to-Sport Report Card that can be shared directly with physicians, surgeons, physical therapists, coaches, and families — providing objective data to help determine readiness, confidence, and performance capacity before returning to play.

Our goal is not just to help athletes return.

It’s to help them return stronger, more prepared, and performing at a higher level than before injury.

Awareness matters.
Access and implementation change outcomes.

California is acknowledging the problem.
Our mission is to help create the solution.

Visit KIMEHPI.org to learn how your team can get tested and trained.
