Why I built Solas Health & Wellness 🤍

Internal medicine kept my hands tied. Insurance companies decided how I could “best” treat my patients — not me, not the patient. Chronic disease management burns providers out fast, and I knew I fit better in wellness.

“Did the FDA just approve BPC-157?” No. Here’s what actually happened. On July 23, 2026, the FDA’s Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee voted 8 to 6, with one abstention, to recommend adding BPC-157 to the 503A Bulks List, the list of ingredients compounding pharmacies are allowed to use. The committee also voted in favor of KPV, TB-500, and MOTS-c.

What that means: a recommendation, not an approval. The vote is non-binding. The FDA still has to issue a formal rule before anything changes, and the agency’s own scientists opposed inclusion, citing limited human evidence. What that means: a recommendation, not an approval. So what is BPC-157? A peptide, a short chain of amino acids, studied for a possible role in gut lining repair, soft tissue and tendon recovery, and the inflammation response. Most of that research is early and largely preclinical, meaning animal studies that do not always hold up in humans.

Where Solas stands: we follow the law and the science, in that order. If regulation changes, we will offer these only through proper channels, prescribed and pharmacy-compounded. Until then, we would rather tell you the truth than sell you a trend.
