Congratulations to Peter on completing his short-term rehab journey at Aperion Care Elgin! 🎉

Since May, Peter enjoyed getting to know the friendly residents, the delicious meals, and the care he received from Nurse Jesus, Nurse Lorna, Therapist Charles and CNA Johanna.

He shared that he would give Elgin 10 stars and would gladly recommend us to his friends and family! 🥰

A special shout out to Peter's mother for bringing beautiful flowers from her garden as a thoughtful thank you to the staff who cared for him. 🌸 So sweet!

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month - Angie, Main Cook! 🌟

After returning from a well-deserved vacation, Angie jumped right back into the kitchen, ensuring every meal was and continues to be served on time or even a little early. Dietary Director Kerry shared that Angie is someone the entire team can count on and that her timeliness is so appreciated!

After making incredible strides at Aperion Care Elgin, Debra Ross headed home from rehab ahead of the July 4th weekend! When she arrived, she required full assistance. By discharge, she was able to transfer with a rolling walker and walk 50 feet with supervision.

Debra said her first impression of the facility was great, from clean, comfortable rooms to a nursing team that was always there when she needed them. She praised the wound care team, especially Nurse Jesus, and appreciated how therapy sessions challenged her while encouraging her progress.

She also enjoyed bingo, movie days with popcorn, and spending time with the team members who helped make her experience so positive, including Nurse Tanya, Nurse Tiffany, CNA Gloria, Diane from Activities, Jonathan, Birdie and Josh.

“I gained 30 lbs and I am very happy about it!” Debra laughed. She gave the facility five stars and added that she would recommend it to her friends and family.

Just in time for Independence Day, Debra celebrated a victory of her own: regaining the strength and confidence to get back home. 🥰🎆
