Say hello to our newest board member, Holly Rogers! We are so grateful for her commitment to Clarity and supporting life in this community. Keep reading to get to know Holly a little bit better.

1. Tell us a little about yourself.

I’ve been married to my husband, Keith, for 26 years. We live on my family farm in Etown. We are both retired and love boating, camping, fly fishing, and traveling. I also love animals and have horses, donkeys, dogs, and cats.

2. How/when did you become involved with Clarity?

I’ve supported Clarity from the beginning, back when it was still Heartland Crisis Pregnancy Center.

3. Why did you choose to serve on Clarity’s Board of Directors?

I love the work Clarity does to support families and to share the Gospel. That work is definitely not easy, but it is so important, and I wanted to take a more active role in supporting Clarity's mission.

4. How can supporters pray for the board?

I think it’s crucial that the decisions the board makes are aligned with God’s will for the mission and future of Clarity, so pray for us as we make those decisions. I would also ask for prayer for the staff, as they are on the “front lines” and need strength and protection on a daily basis.

We are seeking more volunteers to add to the Clarity Crew! Our volunteers truly keep Clarity going, and we couldn't do all we do without them.

We specifically need Men's and Women's Mentors and Medical Clinic Liaisons, but, as Robyn said in our previous post, we truly have a job for every personality, talent, and schedule.

→Medical Clinic Liaison: Chaperone client ultrasounds and assist with housekeeping and office duties.
→Men’s or Women’s Mentor: Meet one-on-one with clients, building relationships, sharing God’s Truth, and supporting them in their parenting journeys.

If you feel God prompting you to join our team or want more information, email [email protected]. 🙌

May Celebration Story: Volunteer Spotlight Edition!

For our May Celebration Story, we wanted to highlight Robyn Evans, one of our faithful volunteers. Robyn has been volunteering since 2014, when, as a registered nurse, she started teaching CPR classes to staff. Today, Robyn teaches several Aspire classes and mentors regularly. Keep reading to hear how God has been working in and through Robyn during her volunteer time.

Q: Tell us a little about yourself.
A: I am a retired nurse and love reading, crocheting, and working outside. I have two children and four grandchildren, and was married for 46 years to my husband and best friend, who passed two years ago. I attend Southeast Church, where I also volunteer.

Q: What is it like to be a mentor?
A: I tell the ladies I meet with, “I’m like a scheduled friend.” My ultimate goal is to guide them closer to Christ; I always say, “I’m planting seeds.” We typically meet every other week for as long as they are in the program. (Funny story: When I first met with Laurie, the director of Family Support Services and also my sister :), to tell her I wanted to start mentoring, she was afraid I was telling her I was quitting as a volunteer teacher. Far from it! I told her, "God has been working on me" and that I wanted to start mentoring in addition!)

Q: What is your favorite class to teach?
A: Baby bootcamp!

Q: What is a favorite memory of your time volunteering?
A: I had one wonderful mentee who was having her 4th or 5th child; she was a believer, and she witnessed to me every time we met. We had such a sweet connection and met for over a year.

Q: How has God worked in your life through your volunteer positions?
A: I have become a deeper Christian. It has been a combination of many things over the years, but volunteering at Clarity has played a big part.

Be on the lookout for a post soon with ways you can get involved as a volunteer!

A few shots from some recent client photoshoots with London's Bridge Photography. ❤️ We are so grateful for the love and talent Ashlee brings to each client session she photographs. She captures those sweet little moments so well, and we couldn't help but share some of the moments from these two sessions!

Thank you to United Servants for Jesus and Severns Valley Church for blessing us earlier this month with your service! These men worked hard to install new drains, construct a large raised bed, and complete the additional patio area. We are so grateful for your partnership with Clarity and commitment to support life. We couldn't do all we do without our volunteers!

Today, we are highlighting a quote from one of the client testimonies shared at our recent Gala. Our amazing staff nurses treat each woman who comes in for a medical appointment with kindness and respect, and it is amazing to hear the stories of how God uses their kindness time and time again to minister to the clients they see.
