🐻🐤📚 "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?"
At the Upshur County Family Resource Network and VIPS's Trunk or Treat on Monday, Oct. 26 in the Public Safety Complex on Florida Street, our Mountainside Buckhannon ABA team got creative (and a bit bookish!).
For our Halloween costumes, we dressed as the colorful characters from "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle.
Beyond the fun costumes, this classic story gives kiddos chances to practice color recognition, identifying animals, sequencing, communication and predicting what comes next -- and these are all skills that can be incorporated into ABA activities.
We also had a blast seeing some amazing costumes, including a homemade claw machine, a family of monarch butterflies, and even a couple of homemade chicken coops with baby chickens inside.
Thanks to the Upshur FRN, the VIPS and all the first responders who organized and coordinated the event while keeping everyone safe (and trust us, there were a lot of families and kiddos who came through!)
