What a Month to Remember at Mountain View Post Acute! 💙🎉

May was filled with appreciation, laughter, and unforgettable moments as we celebrated both National Nurses Week and National Skilled Nursing Care Week!

During Nurses Week, we had the opportunity to recognize the incredible nurses who provide compassionate care, comfort, and support to our residents every single day. Their dedication, expertise, and heart are at the center of everything we do, and we are grateful for the difference they make in the lives of our residents and families.

We also celebrated Nursing Home Week with a full lineup of activities, special events, delicious treats, and plenty of opportunities for residents and staff to make memories together. From themed activities and entertainment to visits from farm animals and community partners, the week was a wonderful reminder that our facility is more than a place of care it's a community and a home.

To our nurses, CNAs, therapists, support staff, volunteers, families, and residents: thank you for making Mountain View such a special place. We appreciate everyone who helped make these celebrations a success and can't wait to share more of the fun we've been having!

Creativity was flowing at Mountain View Post Acute!

Our residents had a blast crafting their very own lava lamps mixing about 75% vegetable oil, 25% water with food coloring, and topping it off with fizzy tablets to create those mesmerizing bubbles. The room was filled with color, curiosity, and excitement as everyone watched their creations come to life!

We were also thrilled to have a special guest join us our new Administrator, Race McBride, who jumped right in and spent time connecting with residents during the activity.

There’s something special about looking back and even more meaningful when those memories are your own.

Our residents spent time exploring a historical photo book featuring Roslyn and Ellensburg, sparking conversation, laughter, and storytelling. These two gentlemen, both local to the area, shared personal memories and experiences as they flipped through the pages, bringing history to life in the most authentic way.

Moments like these remind us that every photo holds a story, and every story deserves to be shared

It’s Tie-Dye Day at Mountain View Post Acute! 🎨👕

Our residents brought the creativity today, designing their own colorful masterpieces, each one as unique as they are. This monthly tradition is always a favorite, and this time we turned plain t-shirts into wearable art!

Gold Star Recognition – Better Late Than Never!

Good things take time and these were absolutely worth the wait! Our Gold Star winners from last month have officially received their custom merch, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate them.

Recognized by their peers, residents, and resident family members, these team members go above and beyond every single day to make a difference.

Miranda Frank – CNA, celebrating an incredible 5 years with our facility! Your dedication, compassion, and consistency continue to set the standard for exceptional care.

Dominic Haley – Thank you for your 2 years of hard work, positivity, and commitment to our residents and team.

These two truly represent the heart of Mountain View Post Acute. Now they get to wear that recognition proudly with their custom merch (and some well-earned bragging rights 😎).

Our residents wanted to clear the air…

Although we will be passing out a suspicious amount of KitKats this Easter… we want to make it very clear that we had nothing to do with any KitKat heist in Europe.

We’re just saying… if there happens to be a sudden surplus…
our residents are simply making the most of it.

During Women’s History Month, we take time to recognize the women who have shaped our lives, our workplace, and our community.

Today, we honor one of those women our beloved Director of Rehab, Shelley Allemand.

Though we lost Shelley this past January, her impact has never left us. She was a kind, fun, and playful professional with a deep passion for physical therapy. She brought warmth, laughter, and compassion into our building every single day. To know Shelley was to feel supported, encouraged, and truly cared for.

Shelley was a friend to many, a mentor to her team, and a woman of influence not only at Mountain View Post Acute, but throughout the Ellensburg community.

In her honor, we have dedicated our Physical Therapy Gym to Shelley, a space that will forever carry her passion and the love she gave to others.

On Friday March 20th, many of our staff also chose to honor her in a deeply personal way, coming together to get tattoos in remembrance of someone who meant so much to all of us. Thank you Crave Ink for being a part of this moment.

Her legacy lives on in the care we provide and the lives she touched.

Forever part of the Mountain View family. Forever a woman who made a difference.

Our halls were filled with green, laughter, and plenty of Irish spirit today at Mountain View Post Acute! Residents and staff came together this afternoon for a festive St. Patrick’s Day party in the West Dining Room, and the energy was incredible.

From the decorations to the smiles all around, it was wonderful to see everyone celebrating together and showing off their St. Patrick’s Day spirit. Moments like these are what make our community feel like home, bringing residents and staff together to share laughter, connection, and a little bit of luck.
