🚧 Parking Lot Repaving Notice 🚧

To improve the safety and accessibility of our parking lot, Elyria Animal Hospital will be closed on Wednesday, September 16, and Friday, September 18 while our parking lot is being repaved.

We will be OPEN on Thursday, September 17. Please note that the parking lot will be milled on that day. We kindly ask that you use extra caution when driving to and from the office, as the surface may be uneven.

We sincerely appreciate your continued patience and understanding as we complete these improvements. We look forward to providing a safer and more accessible parking area for all of our clients and their pets!

Thank you Kim Karbon Photography for taking such great pictures of our team members during the Grafton Sizzlin' Summerfest! She got some amazing photos of Dr. Rick Thompson and his dog Val during his CPR and Emergency First Aid Talk, along with our RVT Lexie assisting him, and our Practice Manager Laura educating families about how important it is to microchip (and register the microchip!) your pets. We have some fun ideas for next year and are looking forward to being a part of a wonderful cause.

We had alot of fun and saw quite a few of our clients at Willow Park in Grafton for the Grafton Sizzlin Summerfest! We educated about Lyme disease, and the importance of microchipping your pet. Dr. Thompson also gave two talks/demonstrations on CPR and emergency first aid for your dogs (with his personal dog Val). Thank you Multiple Breed Rescue for the invite!

⚠️ Update #2: we will be closing our office at 6:00 pm today.

🚨Important Update🚨

We are currently experencing a system issue that is preventing us from accessing our electronic medical records and invoicing software. Additionally, our phones are also experiencing glitches.

If you need to request an appointment, or request a medication refill, please use the PetDesk App. If you do not already have it, you can download it through our website.

We are hopeful that our system will be back up and running tomorrow. As soon as it is restored, we will begin contacting clients to schedule appointments and process prescription refill requests. If possible, we kindly ask that you hold off on calling to schedule appointments or request prescription refills until tomorrow. This will help us work through the backlog as quickly and efficiently as possible.

However, if your pet has an urgent need or cannot wait until tomorrow, please don't hesitate to call us. Our team is still here answering the phones, taking care of our previously scheduled appointments that we were unable to get a hold of, and our doctors are available to help with immediate concerns.

Thank you all so much for your patience, understanding, and support while we work through this unexpected issue. We truly appreciate your kindness and look forward to getting everything back to normal as soon as possible.

First visits at Elyria Animal Hospital are about building trust, answering questions and setting your pet up for a healthy start. This little guy, also received his first vaccines on his first visit! 📋 🩺💉

His family drives quite the distance to see their favorite veterinarian, Dr. Thompson, so getting more things done each visit works best for them ❤️🐾
