This morning I woke up feeling a little unsettled. I’m still not exactly sure why, but it reminded me of something I never want to lose sight of here: I never want to project anything that isn’t authentically me.

Yes, I practice what I share here. Many of the healing modalities I talk about are part of my regular, sometimes even daily, life. But that doesn’t mean I’m immune to anxiety, stress, self-doubt, or fear.

This past year has been a big stretch for me.

I’ve posted pictures of myself on social media that I didn’t particularly like—including this one.

I’ve taken classes with incredibly smart and talented people and wondered if I really belonged in the room.

I’ve had days when I’ve questioned myself, felt uncertain, and felt very human. Because I am.

I don’t have it all figured out. I’m still learning. Still growing. Still finding my way. Yes, even at 60! 🌱

But there are some things I do know.

I know my heart. ✨💖

And I know that it very much loves supporting others. It’s not something I have to force or figure out. It’s simply part of who I am.

And maybe that’s one of the most important things I can share with you—not that I have all the answers, but that we don’t have to have it all together to walk this path.

We simply have to be willing to be honest about where we are… and keep taking the next step. To me, that’s the soulful way. 🤍

How do you celebrate earning your Highly Sensitive Person Professional Practitioner Certification? With a treat from Hopkins Farm Creamery, of course! 🍦

Seriously, though, I can’t begin to express what an incredible journey this has been.

Over the past several months, I’ve learned so much alongside an amazing group of people from all over the world. I’ve been challenged, stretched, and pushed well outside my comfort zone, but somewhere along the way, my confidence began to grow. 🌎 🌱

This certification represents so much more than a title. It represents the courage to keep showing up, to trust myself, and to step into something that feels deeply meaningful to me.

I’m so grateful for everything this journey has taught me, and so excited to see where it leads from here. ✨

So, yes … I think the root beer float was absolutely deserved! 😊

Seeing signs from loved ones in spirit isn’t new to me, but this week felt especially special. 🥰

If you saw my “candy shop” post, you know my brother was visiting from out of town. And because there are so many incredible restaurants in Lewes, it probably won’t surprise you that we ate out … a lot!

After a while, we started noticing that at several of the restaurants, an Elvis Presley song would come on. 🎶 Elvis was one of our mom’s favorite singers, so naturally, we joked that she was joining us.

Then, after my brother returned home, he sent me a text. He and his wife had gone out for dinner, and afterward, their waiter asked if they’d be interested in a special dessert they were serving that day.

An Elvis-inspired cheesecake! 🍰❤️

Of course, they shared a slice in honor of our mom.

Was it a coincidence? Maybe. Was Mom having a little fun with us? I’d like to think so. Either way, it was one of those moments that made us smile and feel a little closer to her. And sometimes, I think that’s what matters most. ✨

My brother, who lives out of town, came for a visit, and we were like two kids in a candy store. Literally! 🍭

We went to one of my favorite candy stores in Lewes, and this time, instead of choosing my grown-up favorite—dark chocolate covered orange peels—we picked out some of our childhood favorites.

We had so much fun reminiscing about the candies we loved, the ones we had completely forgotten about, and all the little memories that came flooding back with each bite.

It was such a great reminder that soulful living isn’t always about going deeper. Sometimes, it’s about going back to the things that made us smile when we were kids. Even if we did come home with a little more candy than necessary! 😉🍬

✨ A New Moon. A Solar Eclipse. A Fresh Start. ✨

Tonight brings both a New Moon and a Solar Eclipse — two beautiful reminders of new beginnings and possibility.

Solar eclipses are often associated with shifts and new beginnings, shining a light on what may be ready to emerge and where you might be ready to take your next step. 🌒☀️

And New Moons? They’re traditionally a time for setting intentions, planting seeds, and manifesting what you’d like to invite into your life. 🌱

So tonight grab your journal and ask yourself:

✨ What am I ready to begin?
✨ What would I love to create or experience?
✨ What seed would I like to plant for the months ahead?

You don’t need to have the whole plan figured out. Just choose one intention that feels especially meaningful and carry it with you into this next chapter. 🌙

I’m not sure how social media personality Diane Shiffer started showing up on my Instagram feed, but I’m so glad she did. Her posts are … well, filled with simple joys! ✨

She shares such beautiful reminders that joy doesn’t always have to be something big or extraordinary. Sometimes it’s found in a morning cup of coffee (or tea for me!), a beautiful song, a conversation with someone we love, sunshine on our face, or simply enjoying a little moment that makes us smile.

Maybe that’s part of what it means to live more soulfully—to slow down enough to appreciate the ordinary moments that make life feel extraordinary.

What simple joy are you noticing today? 🌿☕️💛

Hello beautiful souls! 🤍

This is not the first time an oracle card has aligned with a recent post. The card for the week of August 10th is Mirror from Rebecca Campbell’s Work Your Light Oracle Cards, reminding us once again to reframe our triggers.

Triggers can show up in many ways, but two of the most common are admiration and jealousy. They hold up a mirror, revealing unclaimed needs, desires, or qualities we may be ready to embrace within ourselves.

When you notice yourself being triggered, pause and ask:

✨ What is this showing me about myself?
✨ What might I be longing for or needing?
✨ What quality am I seeing in this person that I’m ready to embrace in myself?

You may be surprised at what you discover when you look beyond the trigger and into the mirror. 💫

Wishing you a soulfully wonderful week!

✨ 8/8 • Lions Gate Portal ✨

There is a lot of conversation around this day — manifestation, transformation, new beginnings, and stepping into the life you’re meant to live.

But what if today doesn’t need to be about doing more? What if it’s simply an invitation to pause … to become quiet … and to listen within.

You might take a few moments today to place your hand over your heart, take a slow, gentle breath, and ask yourself: What does my soul want me to know right now?

You don’t have to force an answer.
You don’t have to figure everything out.
Simply create a little space to listen.

Let today be less about becoming someone new … and more about coming home to who you already are. 🤍

A gentle path back to your true self. Happy 8/8! ✨

One of my favorite ways to reset is to grab a good book 📖, head out to the porch 🍃, and spend a little quiet time with my fur babies 🐾. It’s one of the simplest ways I know to recharge.

As I’ve shared before, I’m a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), a trait shared by about 20–30% of the population. For much of my life, I believed my sensitivity was something to hide or overcome. I pushed through exhaustion, ignored what my body was telling me, and tried to keep up with everyone else.

Thankfully, one of the gifts that comes with age is wisdom. Today, I see my sensitivity very differently. I’ve learned to honor my need for quiet, stillness, and rest instead of apologizing for it.

The truth is, you don’t have to be an HSP to benefit from slowing down. Somewhere along the way, many of us learned that pushing ourselves to the point of exhaustion was something to admire. But I’ve found that when I pause before I’m completely depleted, I return with more clarity, energy, and creativity.

As we begin a new week, let this be your gentle reminder to listen to the wisdom of your mind, body, and soul. Whether it’s reading a few pages of a book, sitting quietly outside, taking a walk, or simply closing your eyes for a few moments, a small pause may be exactly what you need.

Wishing you a week filled with moments that help you come home to yourself. 🌿🤍✨
