Enfield EMS

Enfield EMS Enfield EMS is the 911 ambulance provider for the Town of Enfield, Connecticut. We also provide Mutual Aide to our surrounding communities when needed.

Enfield EMS is a Paramedic level service that responds to greater than 6,000 calls for service annually. To meet the demands of the system, Enfield EMS operates a fleet of 6 ambulances and 3 special response vehicles. On any given day, as many as 5 ambulances may be staffed to respond to 911 emergencies in the Town of Enfield. Between calls, our units are stationed at our Head Quarters Building at Enfield Street & South Road.

Today marks the end of an era for Enfield EMS. We gathered to celebrate the retirement of senior paramedic Robert Lowe. Rob retires with 19 years of dedicated service to the people of Enfield, after 20 years serving in upstate New York. The story of Enfield EMS can not be written without Rob. He joined the department in its infancy. Along the way, he has not only saved numerous lives, but also inspired and trained multiple new employees and students. From all of us, Thank You Rob. We wish you a long, happy and healthy retirement.

Please join us in welcoming Memphis to the team. He joined Enfield EMS about a year ago. Memphis is a certified therapy dog who specializes in working with healthcare personnel and first responders. In his current role, he is available to all of Enfield’s firefighters, police officers and EMS professionals when needed. Memphis is a 4.5 year old Australian Cattle mix, who was rescued as a stray from St. Louis. When not helping others in need, he enjoys sunbathing, swimming in rivers, getting pets and spending time with his best friend, EMS Lieutenant Paul LaFontaine.
