Celebration of Life Service for Lee Frisendahl, 54, of Enid, OK, will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 1, 2026, in the Chisholm Trail Expo. The family has requested casual attire. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Lee Frisendahl, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away August 24, 2026. He was born in Wrightstown, New Jersey on April 8, 1972 to Bruce and Ann Frisendahl. This was his mother’s birthday, and the best birthday present she ever received! The family moved to North Enid shortly after.

Lee lived a life of servitude. He made Eagle Scout in 1989. He was always proud of his Boy Scout career. Lee graduated from Chisholm High School in 1990. After 8 long years and multiple colleges, he graduated college at Phillips University. Lee worked for the Boy Scouts of America and would go around the state starting up new troops.

Lee never planned to be a police officer, but fell into it and it became his career. Lee was a reserve Sheriff Deputy for Grant County, Chief of Police in Lamont, and a police officer in Pond Creek, before he joined the police force in Enid. He loved his job and he loved teaching his officers. Lee was loyal to his “Invaders of the Night, Gray Tornado” team. He served on the Hunter volunteer fire department. Lee became an auctioneer in 2007, starting his own business. Working side by side with his wife on many sales over the years.

Funeral service for Kathy Austin, 90 of Enid, will be Monday, August 31, 2026 at 11:00 am in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Jonathan F. Meyer officiating. The family will receive friends Monday at 9:30 am at the church. Cremation will follow the service. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mary Katherine was born August 9, 1936 in Enid, Oklahoma to Ralph Junior and Rosa (Herth) Mitten and died August 25, 2026 in Enid.

She grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School. On November 1, 1960, Kathy married Elvis Willard Austin and they had two children, Lisa and Jesse. She returned to Enid in 1978 and went to work as a housekeeper at the Enid State School, until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Kathy enjoyed playing cards and dominos with her family. She enjoyed time with her sisters, making butterballs and noodles. Kathy enjoyed reading.

Kathy was preceded in death by husband, Elvis; sisters, Ruth Helberg, Patricia McMahan, Dorothy Coppock; brother, Wayne Mitten.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Lisa and Phillip Pond and Jesse and Sharon Austin; brother and wife, Ralph John Mitten, Jr, and Rosalie; sister, Lovella Fisher; grandchildren, Tosha Tharpe (Justin Newman), Ashley Pond (Paul Porter), Cody (Brittney) Austin, Tanner (Cassidy) Austin, Kayla Snowden, Kallie Snowden; great grandchildren, Teagan Patton, Ayden Patton, Jaryn...

Ellen Louise Stucki Curtis was born September 7,1934, to Leo and Juanita Stucki on the family farm near Loyal, Oklahoma. She was the oldest of four children. Soon after graduating from Loyal High School in 1952, Ellen oved to Enid, Oklahoma to begin a 33-year career at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. On September 24,1955, Ellen married Wayne Curtis. To this union, two children were born. Jeffery Paul in 1960 and Jana Elizabeth in 1966.

After retiring from Southwestern Bell, Ellen managed Burgundy Place in Enid, finally retiring in 1999. In 2009, Ellen became a proud grandmother to her only grandchild Paige.
Ellen enjoyed reading books, and meeting with her close circle of friends for coffee or a meal. Ellen was a charter member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Enid. She was also a member of St. Gregory’s Alter Society, and Telephone Pioneers of America.

In July of 2024, Ellen moved to Statesville, North Carolina, to live with Jana and her family. After a brief illness, Ellen passed away peacefully, on Thursday, August 20,2026, surrounded by family.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother James.

She is survived by her son Jeff and wife Jill Curtis of Okarche, OK, her daughter Jana and husband Kent Suthers and granddaughter Paige of Statesville, NC; A sister, Annette Stewart of Enid; a brother Francis Stucki and wife Vicki of Yukon; and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Today, we join millions around the world in remembering Dolly Parton, who has died at the age of 80.

For generations, Dolly gave us more than music. She gave us stories about home, family, heartache, hope, and the people and places that shape us. Through her generosity —especially her lifelong commitment to children's literacy — she also showed how a life of extraordinary success could be accompanied by extraordinary kindness.

Her songs will continue to be sung. Her stories will continue to be told. And her impact will continue to be felt for generations.
