OBGYN Partners of Augusta was formed with the merger of two groups, Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates of Augusta (OGA) and Augusta GYN. With OGA established in 1947 and Augusta GYN in 1972, our service to the community spans four generations with over 250 years of combined medical experience. We a

Our goal is to provide compassionate personalized care, remain at the forefront of technological advances, and remain leaders in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. When you become a patient of our practice, you will have your own personal physician. We are partners and function as a team. If your personal physician is not available, one of our physicians will handle your immediate needs with continuous and specialized medical care. Dr. Watson, a partner of OGA until his death and for whom the University Hospital Women’s Center is named had a creed and work ethic holding true today for our physicians and staff: The patient always comes first!

Meet Dr. Michel McDonough 💙

Dr. McDonough has been caring for women since 1995 and is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care at every stage of life. Dr. McDonough recently finished 35 years of obstetrics care, he now focuses exclusively on gynecology, including minimally invasive and robotic surgery, menopause management, and preventive well-woman care.

With decades of experience, he is passionate about helping patients feel informed, respected, and confident in their healthcare decisions. He is also actively involved in training the next generation of OB-GYN physicians and was honored with the Watson Award for excellence in patient care and teaching.

Outside of medicine, Dr. McDonough enjoys running, tennis, and spending time with his family 💙

Meet Dr. Tania Serrano, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., A.B.A.A.R.M., NCMP!

She is a board-certified OB-GYN with advanced board certification in anti-aging medicine through George Washington University. She is also recognized as a Certified Menopause Practitioner by The Menopause Society.

Dr. Serrano earned her medical degree from Howard University and completed three years of general surgery training at New York Medical College before transitioning to her OB-GYN residency at Texas Tech Health Science Center.

Dr. Serrano aims to restore vitality and optimize long-term health through a patient-focused approach. She specializes in personalized hormone therapy, evidence-based lifestyle interventions, and targeted nutritional support, utilizing minimally invasive treatments when appropriate.

Her clinical focus remains on healthy aging and functional restoration, helping patients maintain their quality of life through every life transition.
