Last Thursday, our residents spent the day at the Del Mar horse races! They placed their bets, cheered on their horses, had a great lunch, and enjoyed all the excitement of race day. It was a great day to get out and enjoy one of San Diego's favorite traditions. šŸŽ

Step into Silvergate: Taste of Tuscany!

Our residents and guests thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon filled with the flavors and sounds of Italy. Chef Phil prepared an amazing pasta bar along with fresh salad, garlic bread, cannolis, and tiramisu, all served with a glass of Fallbrook wine.

Brandon Andronesi brought the Italian experience to life with his accordion and beautiful Italian songs. The delicious food, wonderful music, and beautiful decor made this the perfect Italian experience for everyone here at Silvergate Fallbrook!

Yesterday's outing took us to beautiful
Canyon Lake! We enjoyed a tour around the community while Carie gave a great presentation filled with fun and interesting facts about Canyon Lake.

After our tour, we headed to Lodge on the Lake for a wonderful lunch overlooking the water. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and the beautiful views made it even better.

Our residents are already looking forward to going back!

Weā€™ve been finding fun ways to beat the summer heat at Silvergate Fallbrook!

Residents made homemade no sugar ice cream in mason jars! They helped measure, mix, and shook it up themselves. Flavors included vanilla bean, rich chocolate cacao, and fresh strawberry.

They also enjoyed time outside to soak up some sunshine and cool off with a little water. Everyone relaxed with their feet in the water pool while Carie played guitar.

Ice cream, music, and a sunny afternoon made a great day here at the Silvergate Suites Memory Care Neighborhood!

Last week our residents enjoyed a visit to the Fallbrook Art Center to see The Find, Magnified exhibition. After taking in the beautiful and unique artwork, we headed to Yogurt Palace for a frozen treat on a hot day before making our way back. Enjoying the local artwork and indulging in frozen yogurt made the perfect afternoon!

Caring for someone with dementia can be rewarding, but it can also come with challenges. You donā€™t have to go through it alone.

Join us for our Dementia Support Group on Wednesday, August 19 at 1:00 PM in the Card Room. Hosted by Advantage Health Systems. This is a welcoming place to ask questions, share experiences, and connect with others who understand.

Yesterday we turned Silvergate into the Roaring ā€™20s for our Great Gatsby event and it was truly the bees knees!

Our residents and guests enjoyed live jazz music, an amazing dance performance by Gatsby dancers, and delicious hors dā€™oeuvres prepared by our Chef Phil. It was great seeing everyone dressed for the occasion, visiting with friends, and enjoying all the entertainment.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special. We loved seeing so many smiling faces and making new memories together.

The last two Thursdays, weā€™ve had so much fun in our Silvergate courtyard! We took our ļæ¼ competitive, yet friendly volleyball game outside and mixed things up with themed days. The first week was Sports Day, and this week everyone came dressed for Mismatched Day.

We made sure everyone stayed cool with plenty of cold water, fresh fruit smoothies, and our favorite partā€¦our resident led cooling crew! Armed with water guns, they had the important job of spraying anyone who looked a little too hot during or after a game. They definitely didnā€™t let anyone get away without getting soaked!

It was wonderful seeing residents and staff playing together, cheering each other on, and laughing throughout the whole game!

We love bringing the drama at Silvergate Fallbrookā€¦ oh, just the hilarious kind! šŸŽ­

Our Drama Club has been going strong for over two years, with several performances under our belt. Along the way, weā€™ve laughed together more times than we can count, built lasting friendships, strengthened communication skills, grown in confidence and become like family.

Hereā€™s a little glimpse of the fun we have during our weekly Friday practices!
